I am seeking a career in events management.

COMMUNICATION and TEAMWORK

Sixteen years of excellent customer service, always reaching for excellence and achieving it. I enjoy working in a small team to meet service targets and goals. For the Film Theatres 25th anniversary I assisted in organising the cake, photographs, creating a visual archive and preparing Press Releases for the event. I worked for the Scottish Wildlife Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in practical fieldwork positions were teamwork skills were essential to the smooth running of these physically demanding projects. Individual and Group Presentations have yielded my best grades at University.

These have all given me a rounded Liberal Arts education that plays to my creative strengths. I maintained client confidentiality as a volunteer case worker for Womens Aid. I organised and led a National Spring Clean Week event locally. This included liaising with the local press and connecting with the general public for events. Maintaining my photographic skills allows me to practice patience and focus. When photographing events being able to reach a project deadline and image requirements were an essential skill to provide clients. Genealogy is my long term hobby; it helps me practice research skills. I have traced back to the early 17th Century for myself and much further for others. Scotland offers some of the most beautiful countryside walks in the UK; I enjoy finding them and often bring my camera on excursions. Creative Writing as well as feeding my love of reading novels.
