Pirate themed activities and parties will continue throughout the day the finale being Captain Cravens Treasure Show which will take place after school. If you have any vouchers, please send them in to Miss Fryer in Year 6. Thank you. SCHOOL MILK Thank you for your patience and support with the new milk system most parents do seem to have managed to order the milk if their child required it and you can still register if you have not yet done so. Unfortunately it is not instant and you need to register by 12 noon on the Tuesday of one week to receive milk the following week if your registration is later than this than Im afraid it is almost two weeks before school gets the updated information, Once you have registered it will be a lot easier, as each term as you will only need let them know if you wish to continue with the milk.

NEW PHONE MESSAGE Many of you who ring school regularly may have noticed our incoming call message has changed. Please listen carefully to the message and press the button for the extension you require. The main school office is now Option 3. PLEASE COVER EARRINGS FOR PE If your child has pierced ears, they must either remove their earrings or have them covered for PE Lessons. If your child cannot remove their earrings by themselves, please send them covered on PE days, or send a small roll of micropore tape for this purpose. We are sorry but school cannot provide the tape for this purpose. Please speak to your childs class teacher to confirm which days they have PE. Thank you for your co-operation. FACEBOOK SOCIAL NETWORKING ALERT As a school we have no control over the internet activities which take place out of school hours this is something parents need to keep control over. We have had a report of an incident which the Police are now involved with, which could quite easily have had serious implications for childrens safety. If you do feel it appropriate for your child to access these sites then please be vigilant to check the security setting and any profile details your child may have uploaded, along with the people and types of conversations they are involved in. The main target for activity seems to be directed at secondary school age children but please, please do not presume your child is safe and speak to them and keep checking. Thank you. SCHOOL START TIME A kindly reminder - The bell rings for the start of school at 8.45am and if you arrive after this time then you are running late. By 8.50am all children should be present and hard at work in class. Children arriving after this time enter via the main entrance as it is important that lessons are not disturbed. APPROPRIATE SCHOOL DRESS We would like to remind you that children should not wear extremes of fashion for school. Shoes should be low-heeled and extreme haircuts (with tramlines or words cut in) are not acceptable, so please save them for the holidays. Thank you for your support. UPDATE TO EMERGENCY NUMBERS AND ADDRESSES We are experiencing difficulties at the moment contacting parents when their child is ill, or left behind from an after-school club or activity. Please make sure, if you change your mobile number, or even move house, that you let school know. Thank you. P E KIT REMINDER Now that we are back to school, please dont forget to make sure your child has both indoor and outdoor P E kit with them every day. If the weather is fine, dry and not too cold we often take advantage of the PE lesson to go outside and get fresh air while keeping fit, so please make sure your child has the right kit, and it has their name inside. Thank you. CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR NEWSLETTER We are encouraging the children to contribute to our weekly newsletter with stories, pictures and items of interest they have done in the classroom our outside school. The contributions this week are from Year 3. Look out for more class contributions in the coming weeks

THE SUN

On Thursday 18th of April 2013 a normal school boy named George Davies, made an amazing and unusual discovery, on school grounds. George was playing a game of tag with his school friends; suddenly he tripped over and saw a mysterious object, when he picked the mysterious object up he took it to Mrs Bedford, she bought the local police in, a lady called Police Bennett.

Yr3 went to the hall to listen, to Police Bennett who told them how to be safe in a situation like this. PC. Bennett investigated with Ruby class, and helped them along the way. The children in Ruby class were investigators for the day .They got their equipment and searched the Quiet garden and all the mud. Ruby class found a lot of evidence so much so that the girls and boys were exhausted. I dont know what to say said Heather Smith, Is it a specie that we dont know? Dying to know more
