Low friction Turcite-B is coated on the mating surfaces of all slide ways by precision hand scraping. Extremely robust base design with 4-axis ways, both VMC-1600 and VMC-2060, 6 Y-axis ways for VMC-3060. [1] Oversized base and column, box type structure combined with scientific rib reinforcement to upgrade total strength and rigidity. Employs finite element analysis (FEM) for optimum structural design analysis and modification. Meehanite cast iron combined with scientific rib reinforcement to upgrade machine rigidity and structural stability. Extra wide, massive slideways are hardened and precision ground, combined with extra long slideway connections ensuring vibration free traverse of the headstock. High performance servo motor is directly coupled to preloaded ballscrew with the use of high precision bearings. Pre-drawn screw and bearings eliminate backlash while upgrading machining rigidity and accuracy. The counter-balance weight is properly guided to eliminate vibration while moving along Z-axis, and prevents interference with machining accuracy.
