The RA graduation ceremony has been postponed to Wednesday, May 15th. Join us as we support our boys in their participation in this wonderful program as well as the commanders that give of their time and gifts week after week. The ceremony will be immediately following dinner. Cake, coffee, and ice cream will be served afterwards.

One of the things that distresses me is the lack of understanding of Scripture and the basic Truths of Christianity; hence, our studies on Foundational Truths. Many echo the opinion of those who would say, Im not interested in doctrine. Why cant we all just love the Lord and worship Him? If we just allow the Spirit to lead us, what more do we need? While there might be a measure of truth in that saying, as a whole it reveals great fallacy. It is true that we want to walk in the Spirit and allow Him to lead us. It is true that we are to worship the Most High God. But, when we look at scripture, we see a much different picture than the previous statement represents. Another thing that Jesus taught is that if we are truly His disciples, we will continue in His word and know the truth.(Jn 8:31-32) There is a lot of emphasis today on truth. Everybody thinks they have it, and they think you can have yours, even if the two do not match. Jesus said the Word of God is Truth; therefore, what doesnt line up with Gods Word is not the Truth. It matters not how much you believe something. If it doesnt line up with the Word of God, it isnt the Truth. Truth in John 8:31-32, is equated with Jesus teachings or DOCTRINE. In fact, teachings of Scripture are equated to doctrine. If one looks up the word doctrine and the word teaching in a Strongs Concordance, he will find teaching and doctrine are from the same word in the Lets begin with John 6. After original Greek language, the Jesus gave a teaching about original language of the New His body and His blood, many Testament. Will we pursue Jesus light, or, will we become people who let the Word of God dwell in us in richness so we can teach and encourage one another with wisdom and understanding? Will we experience worship in Spirit and Truth or just seek emotional highs, hoping they will see us through the tedium of daily experiences? His teachings (doctrines) are the Truth. Continuing in them allows us to live and walk in true freedom. If we are true disciples, we will continue in His Word, His Teaching, His Doctrine. -Pastor Sam Brooks
