-Sixteen units can be accommodated in one block/area -Each block/area has a specific code (1 to 99) -Each unit in that block/area has a specific number (1 to 15) -Each unit in that block/area can receive alarms signals from the other 14 units - Each user has two displays : one to display the conditions of his own alarm system, the other to display the alarm conditions of the fourteen neighbours. - Each unit can become a repeater. - Each unit can "ask" another unit to repeat all his signals to extend the range -Each unit has a 4 digit code. - Digits 1 and 2 are the AREA code - Digits 3 and 4 are the UNIT code All alarm conditions will be retained on the display until a reset/disarm is performed on the system. Each system can be programmed to either recognise all signals from the other units or only accept the first one (from the same unit) with the exclusion of panic signals. The unit can be programmed to set a siren, instead of the buzzer, whenever an alarms is received from the neighbourhood. A simple test will interrogate the whole block to establish who is on line and who is not.

Following are the features that put the " STOPKILL-TRACER innovative ALARM CONTROL UNITS in the security market: 1 - 8 zones WIRED and/or WIRELESS.

among the most versatile , efficient and

2 - All zones programmable to suit ANY special installation requirement. 3 - Programmable "entry delay" for hands-free operation on any of the 8 zones. (Fixed exit delay) 4 - Programmable siren activation for each circuit. 5 - RADIO Remote PANIC button . 6 - AUTOMATIC ACTIVATION of security lights on alarm or warning conditions. 7 - UHF TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER to report and receive to and from other alarm panels 8 - Built in 3 Amp power supply and battery charger. 9 - Stand-by 6.5 A/h battery (48 hrs autonomy). 10 - Buzzer output for indicating signals (arm, disarm, battery-low etc....). 11 - When triggered, sends the conditions of all 8 circuits. 12 - Programmable silent PANIC alarm. 13 - Programmable arm/disarm annunciation using the siren. 14 - Programmable auto transmission of battery low condition in wireless sensors and their I.D. code. 15 - Programmable auto transmission of system mains failure. 16 - Programmable auto transmission of system battery low condition. 17 - Programmable auto transmission of arm and disarm operations. 18 - Subscriber code and options fully programmable by the installer. 19 - It uses a very inexpensive programmer. 20 - EEPROM memory for retention of options and code selections during "power-down". 21 - It can generate a TEST CALL transmission to a control room from the remote control. 22 - All operations are performed through a 4 CHANNEL REMOTE HAND-CONTROL. 23 - PRESET 4 levels for easy use. 24 - Remote Interrogation to establish if system triggered while away. 25 - 1-2 km range from the remote control

The "STOPKILL-TRACER is capable of simultaneously monitoring WIRED and WIRELESS detector circuits. A REMOTE PANIC BUTTON system is built in as a standard feature. The "STOPKILL-TRACER" will alarm/report whenever the following inputs are triggered: 1 - Any of the 8 wired armed inputs. 2 - Any of the 8 wireless armed inputs. 3 - Supervisory signals such as: - battery low in the wireless sensors - low battery in the system - arm / disarm - test transmission - mains failure 4 - Remote panic button 5 - Medical /help call For complete flexibility the eight wired inputs may be programmed to send an alarm whenever one of the following conditions occurs: 1.a) - When the external circuit is opened (Normally Closed circuit) 1.b) - When the external circuit is closed (Normally Open circuit) 1.c) - Both when the external circuit is being opened and closed. (In this case it is possible to program any of the circuits as an "alarm circuit" or a "door monitoring circuit"). 1.d) - When the trigger condition has occurred for longer than 15 sec (slow detection)

The eight wireless inputs work in "parallel" to the wired inputs and therefore share all the available optional features such as: - individual siren activation selection. - individual "entry delay" selection. - individual "warning only" selection. - individual "24 hrs" ready activation. A great feature of the "STOPKILL-TRACER" is that it is fully programmable to suit every requirement. It will allow you, for instance, to define 4 patterns each containing a set of "armed" zones commonly selected in everyday operation. You do not have to remember which set you normally arm or put onto warning. The "TRACER" will remember the four patterns for you and, when arming the system, automatically step through these patterns allowing you to stop at the one you require. These patterns may be changed at will by using the two buttons on the remote control. ALL COMMANDS and INDICATIONS are shown on extended, wall mounted displays. Up to 3 units may be connected in parallel using only 4 wires. The display units display the following information: - the wireless sensor or circuit which has caused the alarm to trigger. - the wireless sensor or circuit which has caused a warning signal. - which of the 8 circuits are 24hrs, armed or on warning. - system battery is only 20 % charged. - mains failure has occurred. - delay-in circuit has been initialized. - system has triggered and the signal was sent to control room. - system armed / disarmed indication. It also retains the type of transmission which was sent e.g.: - numbers 1 to 8 indicating the alarm circuit which was triggered. - the letter "p" indicating panic button activation. - the letter "t" indicating test transmission. - the letter "b" indicating battery low in one of the wireless sensors. - the letter "r" indicating that the system had a reset. - the letter "h" indicating medical emergency. All COMMANDS are performed through a 4 CHANNEL REMOTE HAND-CONTROL: - arming and disarming of the system. - partial arming. - partial "warning only" selection. - programming of the different patterns of activation. - panic button. - test transmission. - security lights - Remote interrogation - Medical Emergency

STOPKILL - T R A C E R INSTALLATION
Installing the TRACER is a very simple matter as the power supply, remote control receiver and long range TRANSCEIVER connections have already been made for you !! All you have to do is connect the battery, the external transformer and wire up the zone circuits and audible devices. THE FOLLOWING IS PROVIDED TO ILLUSTRATE THE CONNECTIONS ; ALSO REFER TO THE APPENDIX These connections are as follows : (CONNECTOR STRIPS A and B )

1 - ALARM CIRCUIT CONNECTIONS:

There are 8 inputs available on the BOARD ( A8 TO A15 ). These INPUTS are factory-programmed for NORMALLY-CLOSED operation, that is: You need to REMOVE 12 V (from the common 12V CONNECTIONS B15, B16 and B17) to trigger the alarm. If you require any of these to be NORMALLY-OPEN ( trigger on applying 12V), it is necessary to define these circuits in the INVERT register (see "PROGRAMMING THE TRACER "(key .3)) Entering "0" will change that circuit from N.C. to N.O. All these inputs have Metal Oxide Varistors and current limiting devices for lightning protection. Power to the detectors is taken from B15, B16, B17 (POS.) and B12, B13, B14 (NEG) 2 - SIREN : 12 Volts DC is available between connectors A1(-) & A2(+) to operate the external siren. The siren will automatically RESET 3 minutes after activation. 3 - BLEEPER: 12 Volts DC is available between A3(-) & A4(+) to operate an optional buzzer. 4 - EXTERNAL LIGHTS : 12 Volts DC is available between A5(-) & A6(+) to operate a heavy duty 12v/220v a.c.contact relay to control specific LIGHT circuits. Option 4 of register 1 will allow for the lights to switch on with an alarm or a warning and switch off 4 minutes later. The security lights may also be activated manually using a REMOTE -CONTROL (code 6). The lights will switch off 4 minutes after the last activation. NOTE : The combined current the 3 relays may supply is limited by a 1.5Amp fuse. 5 - RECEIVER CONNECTIONS: (N. A.) 6 - POWER SUPPLY (TRANSFORMER) : 15-17 Volts AC may be supplied to the "TRACER" on terminals B3 and B4. This input has a Metal Oxide Varistor for lightning protection. The transformer should have a rating of at least 800 mA (3 amps when using a radio communicator.) 7 - DISPLAY : The 4 wires to the remote display units are connected as follows: [B6] (C) for Clock pulse line 1 [B7] (T) for transmitted Data line 2 [B8] (-) for negative supply ( 0v) [B9] (+) for positive supply (12v) 8 - BATTERY CONNECTIONS: The stand-by battery ratings must be : 12v with a recommended capacity of 6.5 A/hr The standby battery must be connected between B10(NEGATIVE) and B11(POSITIVE). To optimise the maximum power which the battery can supply when using a radio transmitter crow-bar polarity protection method has been implemented. It is therefore necessary to change the BATTERY FUSE fuses after connecting the battery incorrectly. Our guarantee DOES NOT cover damages caused by REVERSE or INCORRECT polarity connection to the battery. Special components have been introduced to protect the keyboard and detectors supply from short circuits. The characteristic of these devices is such that on excessive current they will warm up and reduce the current , once the short has been removed they will cool down and slowly return to the initial status. It is important to remember that the maximum current available on either the keyboard or the P.I.R. supply circuits is 700 mA before current limiting takes place.

AERIAL INSTALLATION:
Although the whip-type aerial is sufficient for good operation, we strongly recommend that our UHF folded dipole be used as this allows also for better positioning, away from the control panel As the system works on UHF, to receive direct signals, the different control panels should be in line of site . Tall buildings, hills, power lines and other structures may reduce the range considerably. In that case use the repeater option DO NOT APPLY POWER IF THE AERIAL IS NOT CONNECTED.

WIRELESS

SENSORS (only on request)

Using wireless sensors is simple! - provided that you are aware of the following facts: 1 - Transmission of alarms occurs for only a short period of time (3 - 5 Seconds). 2 - The sensors are designed to save battery power as much as possible and therefore will not transmit if continuous movement is detected. From the last movement detected, they will return to an active state within either 30 sec (test mode ) or 3 minutes (normal mode). 3 - The radio transmission range may vary widely from one installation and location to another. If moving the position of the SNIPER/TRACER is not at all possible you may use an extended aerial with a pocket size remote control. 4 - The tuning of the radio transmitter in the sensor and the receiver in the "TRACER" itself is critical . Any changes or retuning will severely affect its performance. There are two operations which must be carried out to interface wireless sensors to the "TRACER" so that they may communicate properly and not interfere with one another. SYSTEM CODE : The first is the setting of the 10 way dip switch inside the sensors. This will give the system its own and unique identification by which all the sensors will be recognised. [ NOTE: To enable the battery-low detection circuit in the sensors it is necessary to have dip-switch 7 set to "OFF" (this will not affect the systems coding)].
ON

I.D. SETTING : The second is to make each sensor and other wireless devices identifiable within the system. This is done by encoding "jumpers" 1, 2 , 3 and 4 - see table below.

STOPKILL - TRACER OPERATION

The "TRACER " allows for two system codes , one to be used in the sensors/detectors and the other in the hand remote control. To make the system more secure the remote control code may be easily changed by the END-USER . (This is done while in the "CUSTOMER PROGRAMMING" mode - The two CODES are both FACTORY-SET to be the SAME . As an example, it is possible to set a sensor or hand remote-control unit only to activate the external courtesy lights. After the installation is completed, this is what you should see on the remote display: "MAINS" indication ...........................................OFF "LOW BATTERY" (in sensors)......................... OFF "SYSTEM ARMED" indication ......................... OFF "TRIGGERED" indication ................. .............. OFF "DELAY" indication .......................................... OFF "RUNNING" indication ..................................... FLASHING "ARMED" indication..........................................ON [only the PERMANENTLY-ARMED (24hrs) zones.] "WARNING" indication .....................................ALL OFF note: some of the warning lights may temporarily be ON to indicate that some of the zones (doors, windows or movement detectors) are activated.

- REMOTE PANIC BUTTON:

NOTE- To change the remote dip switch code in the TRACER from factory default see how to use Customer programming mode. The remote controls may be supplied with 1, 2, or 4 buttons buttons: -The 1" button will ALWAYS trigger the emergency operation -The 2" button is used to arm, disarm, and reset the system. -The 1 & 2" buttons pressed together will send a test transmission to the control room (only when using a radio or telephone communicator) . -Once you have pressed the 2" button to arm the system, you have four selections: 1 - Let the system automatically step through the three patterns "A", "B" , "C" and automatically arm itself with pattern "D". 2 - While stepping through levels "A", "B", "C" and "D", press the 1" button at the one required and arm the system with THAT pattern OR...... 3 - While stepping through, press the 2" button at the pattern required and select those zones which will give a warning when triggered OR..... 4 - While stepping through, simultaneously press both buttons at the pattern required to access the CUSTOMER programming mode (see below) which allows you to change the zone configuration for that pattern. To disarm the system, following any of the first 3 choices (1, 2, or 3), press the 2" button until a two beep signal (dis-armed) is heard on the bleeper or the remote display.

SECURITY LIGHTS OPERATION:

Buttons 2 & 3" must be used to operate security lights. The lights will remain on for 4 minutes or until the two buttons on the remote control are pressed again. If the lights are turned on by a sensor they will remain on for 4 minutes from the last activation.

CUSTOMER programming mode :

If you have entered the programming mode (see 4 above) a yellow light will be ON for zone No. 1. Buttons 1" and 2" have now assumed different roles where the 2" button will toggle the corresponding red light and the 1" will step to the next zone. In this way it is possible to change the patterns to suit new requirements. An error may be easily rectified by pressing the RED button again either to toggle back or, pressing the white button, step right around. If, for security reasons, you wish to change the code in the REMOTE CONTROL , simply change the dip-switch setting to the required code before leaving the programming mode. To leave the programming mode PRESS BOTH BUTTONS TOGETHER (! & 2).

THE REMOTE DISPLAY OF YOUR ALARM

ARMED ZONES 1 TO 8 :
These RED lights indicate which of the zones are armed. - a steady light indicates that the zone is permanently armed (24 hrs). - a running light indicate which zones are being monitored for an alarm condition.

WARN ZONES 1 TO 8 :
These YELLOW lights indicate which of the zones are in warning mode. - the running lights indicates which zones are being monitored for a warning condition. - a steady light indicates that the zone is being activated . This gives you the facility, when leaving, to check whether you have left a window or door open .

AUXILIARY INDICATIONS:
MAINS MAINS FAILURE indication: This indicator will be on to indicate that either there is a power failure or that the transformer supplying power to the system has been accidentally unplugged. SYSTEM BATTERY LOW indication: The system's battery is left with only 20% of its nominal charge. (Check mains) WIRELESS-DETECTOR BATTERY-LOW indication: This light will be activated by "poor condition" of the battery in the wireless sensor shown by the digit display .
