Pakistan Suzuki Motors Limited Company Introduction: Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMCL) is a Pakistani subsidiary of Japanese automaker

Suzuki Motor Corporation. It is the Pakistani assembler and distributor of cars manufactured by Suzuki and its subsidiaries and foreign divisions. Currently Pak Suzuki is the largest car assembler in Pakistan. The firm was founded in 1983 as a joint venture between the government of Pakistan and Suzuki Motor Japan, formalizing the arrangement by which Awami Auto Ltd. had produced the Suzuki SS80 from 1982. The companys existing plant is located at Bin Qasim and was ingurated in 1989 by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto. This plant has a total area of 259,000m 2 and the cost for building it was accounted 11.096 billion. This plant has a production capacity of 150,000/annum and works in double shift. Cars built by Suzuki Pakistan often lack essential features which are standard in other cars, such as airbags, rear windshield defogger and rear seat belts. In 2006, Pak Suzuki was the first manufacturer in Pakistan to offer factory-fitted CNG. By 2012 the Pakistani-assembled Suzuki Mehran remained possibly the last car in the world which still used a carbureted engine, but from the end of 2012 Suzuki Mehrans have been equipped with EFI engines to meet the Euro-II emission standards. Company Board of Directors: Hirofumi Nagao Mr. Hirofumi Nagao graduated from Osaka University of Foreign Studies, Japan. He has been associated with Suzuki Group for the last 34 years. He has worked in different capacities with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and overseas, as Managing Director of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited from June 1994 to April 2000, as Joint Managing Director of Maruti Suzuki India from October 2004 to December 2007. Presently, he has been working again with Pak Suzuki as Managing Director since June 20, 2008. Satoshi Ina Mr. Satoshi Ina graduated from Faculty of Engineering, Shizuoka University, Japan. He has been associated with Suzuki Group for the last 32 years. He has worked in different capacities with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and overseas. He worked as Chief Engineer/Manager Production Engineering of CAMI Automotive Inc. Canada (a joint venture between General Motors and Suzuki Motor Corporation) from September 1986 to June 1994. He has been working with Pak Suzuki Motor Company since April 1, 2009 and is designated as Deputy Managing Director. Hidekazu Terada

Mr. Hidekazu Terada graduated from Department of Commercial Science of Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan. He has been associated with Suzuki Group for the last 26 years. He has worked in different capacities with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and overseas, as Assistant to Managing Director of Suzuki New Zealand from January, 1995 to October, 1998, as Assistant to Managing Director of Suzuki Australia from October, 1998 to August, 2001. He joined Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited as Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2007. He was inducted into Board as Working Director on July 20, 2009. Kenichi Ayukawa Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa did B. A. in Law from Osaka University, Japan. He has been associated with Suzuki Group for the last 31 years. He has worked with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and overseas in different capacities, as Treasurer in American Suzuki Corporation from 1997 to 2002, worked as Managing Director, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited from May 2004 to June 2008. Currently, he is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited since September 1, 2008. Jamil Ahmed Mr. Jamil Ahmed holds Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi. He attended various leadership and management courses from AOTS Japan and other accredited institutions. He Joined Pak Suzuki Motor Co. in 1986 when the Company was in the process of establishing its new plant and actively participated in the construction and operation of the new plant. Prior to joining Pak Suzuki, Mr. Jamil Ahmed worked for 10 years with Naya Daur Motors, an automobile company manufacturing 4 wheel drive vehicles. He has wide and varied professional working experience in the field of project management, production, and supply chain and parts localization. He is working director on the Board since March 1, 2008. Mumtaz A. Shaikh Mr. Mumtaz A. Shaikh is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Sindh University and Masters in Business Administration from IBA Karachi. He has overall professional experience of more than 39 years. He started his professional career with National Motors Limited in 1973. He joined Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited on May 1, 1990. He has attended AOTS trainings in Japan. He is a certified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and is on Pak Suzukis Board since August 24, 2009. Wazir Ali Khoja

Mr. Wazir Ali Khoja is a NIT nominee director on the Board of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited since September 28, 2010. He holds over 32 years of professional experience in the fields of banking, finance and mutual fund industry. He is also member on the Boards of other institutions i.e. Bank Al Habib Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Askari Bank Limited, Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited, KSB Pumps Company Limited, Pakistan State Oil, Packages Limited, Shell Gas LPG (Pakistan) Limited, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (unlisted) and Sindh Bank Limited.
