CHANGE
Since our last Herald update in February life has changed quite dramatically. The most signicant transformation was the unexpected death of Linseys father, Bill Young in early March. His death was deeply painful but the funeral/ memorial service was a mix of sadness as well as celebration for a life lived well. We would ask you to continue to pray for Linseys Mum and the whole family as we journey into a new normal that does not contain a signicant part of the family.

The hummingbird that that was born on our balcony and that I mentioned in our last brief email, see, http:// potterabout.blogspot.com/p/prayer-needs_23.html, also went through a life change and it eventually left the nest under duress. It was amazing to see the mother dive bombing the young bird to entice it to y. Once the chick was out of the nest and on the branches of a nearby tree, the mother would still come to feed it. At this point the parents beak would be just out of range so that the chick had to stretch to get the food. As it stretched it soon found itself off the branch and ying. Mom was crafty but it certainly helped the chick become independent.

Independence brings change.

Josh is currently in the UK clarifying various administrative matters for his upcoming university course and pending move to London. One of the important items is the submission of a student loan application and we would appreciate your prayers that he nds favor and is successful.

We want to thank you for your prayers for Oasis USA and the work we are involved
in. Recently we were able to obtain a small grant for the work of the TrafckFree Communities. Praise God new TrafckFree Communities are developing and opening up opportunities for people to support the vulnerable within their area of inuence. However, Oasis USA still needs additional nances for the local work and we would appreciate your prayers Globally our team has been able to resource the work of Oasis India and we were recently encouraged by a raid they carried out that rescued over 81 women and children http:// indiatoday.intoday.in/video/policebusts-child-trafcking-racket-inkarnataka-india-today/1/267691.html. You can help fund a raid by supporting the India team donating one-time or monthly, or by hosting a Fund a Raid Party with friends.

Ben graduated MI and is on the west coast undertaking his training with Circlesight and Ascend fellowship. In their quest to record an album they have started their kickstarter campaign, see http://www.kickstarter.com/ projects/976153902/circlesights-album? ref=search,

Charys was involved in an excellent musical production at her school. Their rehearsal video at https://vimeo.com/63991952 shows her dancing and explains the process. She will soon be completing this school year and is hoping for some clarity concerning life after the summer.

One big question hanging over us and that Charys would like
her answer to is whether we will stay for the next two years and help Oasis USAs development or relocate back to the UK. The reason for leaving is that we may not be able to extend our visa. Our current visa could nish at the end of December but if we moved then, it would have a negative effect on Charys education. In that case it would be better to relocate this summer. Please pray for clarity, favor and resources as an extension would be helpful for Oasis and Charys. If we did move to the UK it would be for an extended period of time and there has been some discussions with Oasis and others as to what this would look like. Our hearts desire would be to work with others and help build an eclectic community of people who have a passion for seeing the transformation of the kingdom of God in their community and sphere of inuence.

Locally though, Oasis USA needs more US staff and a whole raft of resources to meet the opportunities we are being presented with. If we were a business we could go after angel investors, etc... but that doesnt work for a non-prot. We did recently meet up with a group of businessmen and women from the LA Barnabas group who are looking to help us with contacts, organizational structures and franchise type development. Please pray for supporters, investors and creative ways to develop the funding required to meet the opportunities.
