Ramadhan Guidelines:
Actions that break the fast: Deliberately eating, drinking, smoking.
If anything in your mouth melts with the saliva such as sugar and is
swallowed then the fast will break fast.
Water slipping down the throat when doing wudhu even though it
was not intentional, will break fast.
Actions that do not break fast: Eating or drinking by mistake does not break the fast.
If a fly, dust or smoke (even flour dust) gets into the throat
(accidentally) whilst fasting, the fast does not break.
Makruh (Disliked) Actions while fasting: To taste any food or drink and spit it out.
To collect saliva in the mouth and then to swallow it, trying to
quench ones thirsty.
Wa - bi - saw - mi - ghadin - nawaytu - min - shahri - Ramadhan.

[I have Intended to fast for the coming day in the month of Ramadhan]
Allah - humma innee - laka - sumthu - wabika - aamanthu - wa - alaika - tawaqqalthu - wa - alla - rizqi - ka - aftarthu.
[Oh Allah! I have fasted only for you, and I have believed only in you, and I have trusted only upon you,
and I have completed my fast, only with your provision]
the normal course of life and commission of such acts during fasting
is even more unlawful and disgusting.
To remain unclean throughout the day in conditions that necessitates the need to perform ghusl.
To gargle in the throat but if water is swallowed, it will break the
fast.
When not to fast People who are exempted: A woman who is in her monthly cycle or post child birth confinement.
