CAPERS Summer Basketball Camps

July is Basketball Camp month at CBU. The CAPERS will be presenting three weeks of basketball camps in the summer of 2013. CBU offers a full-service residential camp with overnight accommodations during the rst week of camp. The goals of our learning environment are simple: Individual Skill Development Learn new skills, information and modern techniques Team Concepts (Games & Scrimmages) FUN (hard work in a fun environment for learning) The knowledge and experience of our staff means high-quality instruction; CBU's facilities are second to none; and CAPERS Camps are affordable. The coaches will utilize personal demonstration, individual instruction, half court and full court games and drills to allow the campers to get the best possible basketball experience. OUR PROGRAMS The CAPERS Mens and Womens Basketball Programs are among the top basketball programs in Canada. Over the past 10 years both teams have been ranked in the top 10 on a consistent basis and have won 7 AUS titles along with 2 CIS Medals. Come be a part of one of the best university basketball programs in Canada. FACILITIES CBU offers the most modern athletic facilities on the Island. Sullivan Field House features three full-sized basketball courts along with a modern tness centre, state of the art team rooms and audio-visual sites.

About The Staff

Fabian McKenzie is entering his 15th season as Head Coach of the CBU CAPERS Womens Basketball Program. A four time AUS Coach of the Year and 2006 CIS Coach of the Year, Coach McKenzie has guided the CAPERS to 5 AUS Titles and a CIS Silver and Bronze Medal. Coach McKenzie has also been involved as a coach with the Canadian Womens National Team Program for the past 5 years. Matt Skinn is entering his 2nd year as Head Coach of the CBU CAPERS Mens basketball program. A former CAPER, Coach Skinn led the CAPERS to a rst place nish in the AUS this season and they won the 4th AUS Championship for CBU Mens Basketball. The CAPERS were ranked in the top ten all season. For his efforts, Coach Skinn was named AUS Coach of the Year.
