Advanced framing techniques are intended to take unnecessary wood out of the exterior walls so more insulation can be used. Wood has no insulation value, so it lets heat travel in and out of walls. We minimize this heat loss through these techniques:
Insulated (or 2 Stud) Exterior Corners -This allows insulation to be tucked in the corner, removing a couple of studs and adding insulation value to the corner post.
