Augustine Church, Barberton, OH) (July 14, 2013) Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Living Faith in July: Luke 10:25-37 Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live. (Psalm 69) How do you see more clearly when you love with your whole heart, being, strength and mind? Who is your neighbor? How can you love them? How do you picture goodness? Does it always look that way? 326 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last week. All the angels of heaven gaze in ecstasy at the image left on your soul after each Holy Hour that you make in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. (Excerpt from 'Letters to a Brother Priest') If you do not have time to make a Holy Hour, then how about "sharing" an hour with a friend, or a family member. The next meeting of the St. Augustine womens group will be Tuesday, July 16, from 6:308:30 pm in the SAC. A daytime meeting will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 9:30-11:30 am in the Rectory. Light refreshments will be served at both meetings. Please call Karen if you have any questions. Plans for the The St. Augustine Luau scheduled for Sunday, August 25 following the 10:30am Mass is well underway. Raffle tickets will be available for sale following the weekend Masses, dont missout on the opportunity to be the big winner of $5,000. Tickets are being sold for $10.00 each. Two earlybird drawings will be held, one July 28 and one August 4. Volunteers are always needed, the next volunteer meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30PM in Cafeteria, hope to see you there. Basket items are coming in: Anyone wishing to donate items for the themed baskets can drop them off at the Rectory during regular business hours. Basket themes are: Red, White & Blue (Patriotic items), Kitchen, Wine, Sports Fan, Baby Shower, Italian, Mexican, Back to School & Couples Night out. T-shirts are in and available for sale following all weekend Masses or at the rectory during regular business hours, they are being sold for $8.00 each. Lets make this event fun for everyone! Information for the July 28 bulletin must be received into the rectory by Wednesday, July 17 at 9:00am. Any information received after that will not make the bulletin. Cards Anyone? Join us Friday, August 2 as we play Euchre. Cards begin at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. A light meal will be provided. Beginners and experienced players are welcome to come and try a hand. Come and enjoy an evening of fellowship.

DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT CATHOLICISM? An RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) Inquiry Night will be held on Monday, July 29 at 7:00 pm in the Rectory. This will be an opportunity to ask questions, find out what the RCIA is about, and register if desired. Please consider whom you might invite. Or invite your spouse, friend, neighbor etc. to call Karen at 330-745-0011 x 18 or talk to one of our priests. Sometimes all it takes is a personal invitation
It is not too early to think about how you would like to use your gifts and talents to help with the RCIA. Prayer Partners, possible sponsors, and people to help with refreshments are needed. PSR REGISTRATION 2013-2014 PSR is offered to children starting in the first grade through eighth grade; classes are held at St. Augustine School beginning on Sunday, September 8 from 9-10:15am. in the SAC. If a child is going into the first grade, and not attending a Catholic School or was in a Catholic school and is no longer attending, you are able to register for PSR. The FEST Sunday, August 4 There is something inspiring when we come together in the name of the Lord. Imagine standing with 20,000+ for an outdoor Mass! There is strength in numbers. Join us for a day filled with great music, inspiring displays, opportunities for prayer and reflection, worlds largest grill, Smart Martha, Colgate Dental Van, the Duct Tape Tent with Crafts for Kids and much more. Festivities begin at 12:00 and will conclude with mass at 8:00pm followed by fireworks. And it is all FREE! Bring your family and your friends, all are welcome.

CULTURE OF LIFE will meet on Tuesday, July 30 in the rectory following Mass and Benediction. Culture of Life holds a Holy Hour For Religious Freedom every Wednesday from 1-2:00pm, as well as a Holy Hour For Life on the First Friday of every month. When France was in peril, Joan of Arc heard voices asking her if not now, whenand if no t you, than who? Was it the Voices St. Joan heard that made her unique or perhaps was it the way she responded to the voices?
