Scholarship Application

This scholarship is intended to encourage young parents involved with Jessies in pursuing postsecondary education. The scholarship is available to parents who plan to attend university or college for the first time or who are continuing their post-secondary education. The scholarship is open to students starting in September 2013 or January 2014. The amount of the scholarship is to be determined. It will be awarded in October 2013. Any individual can only receive this Scholarship once. Eligibility Requirements To be eligible you: Have been a participant at Jessies Centre for at least one year Are 24 years of age or under as of August 1, 2013 Are actively parenting Are enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary institution in Canada Application Process Participants submit an application to Jessies Executive Director for consideration. Your complete application package must include: 1. Jessies Centre application form (attached) 2. Copy of acceptance letter from post-secondary institution (if you have received it by the time you send in this application.) Scholarship Award Scholarship cheques will be distributed in October 2013. We require proof of enrollment and\or fees paid before releasing the scholarship cheque.
