SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE (SI)

In one of the international forums/ egroups where I belong, there was this question: I think a quite a few of us believe in the inadequacy of traditional science being unable to explain our universe, being unable to explain how to have a positive attitude, and how to live. We believe that possibly, there are no accidents, and the life we are living in is our choice. I want to learn from you on how to put this spirituality into a typical skill building training program.. I believe that the key to helping people is not develop their skills, but to build that little voice they hear inside their head every now and then. The voice that is bereaving them from within, and is having a conversation with them Is there anyone here who has attempted to do this wants to share the experience? Among the Mentors, Trainers and HR Practitioners of Europe, after Emotional Intelligence, they are now looking at Spiritual Intelligence (SI) as another means of addressing relational and career related problems. It seems that IQ and EQ is not enough to address HR concerns. I believe a more effective way to increase productivity, or to sustain motivation, or manage stress is to include man's spirituality in the equation. Or better yet, include GOD in the intervention. There are several factors that we need to consider to ensure SI will work: 1) SI 101 Pre-requisite : Man has to recognize his spirituality. No matter what you do, unless man recognized he is a spirit being temporarily dwelling in his physical body, we can not proceed. 2) SI 102 Pre-requisite: Man has to recognize a higher spiritual being, a creator, or what is commonly called GOD. 3) SI 103: If there is a creator and we are created, then there must be a "manual" about human beings. Whenever we buy new software-- we refer to the manual to understand how it works. Definitely, we have to refer to something to understand human behavior, psychology, natural and spiritual laws affecting man's life, etc.

4) SI 201: Man has to understand his destiny, his calling. We can be good at something because of training but it does not mean that is our vocation or calling, There are those who are "genetically encoded" into a careerthose who were anointed or enabled, as others have called, to accomplish a job, though theyre not formally trained. Those who are trained to do the job may be good but theyre not necessarily happy. But there are those who are so enthusiastic and well motivated in their career. No hardship can deter them. They are in sync with Gods plan. WE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO INVEST THEIR LIFE ON WHERE THEIR HEART IS, AND NOT "ONLY" WHERE THEIR IS CASH.

5) SI 202: Man has to understand his place in God's heart. The personality of each individual is partly a reflection of his understanding (or lack of it) of GOD. I.e. Compare the personality, outlook in life, and management style of people who - thinks there is no God - thinks God is an angry man - thinks that God is detached - thinks that God is poor - thinks that God is a father - thinks God is prejudice to others except their own group and the list shall go on. To facilitate character change and eventually lifestyle change in a man is to lead him to his creator, a paradigm shift on man's place in God's heart. Man has to understand God is good-- that all the bad things on the world are not his doing, but a result of constantly degenerating value system brought about by rebellion. "Every good and perfect gift comes from above" and man has to understand that in spite of what the world is experiencing, God is there to those who want Him, and he can bring about changein man's character, directions in life, career/calling, family and economic status. 6) SI 203: The secret to peaceful living, stronger family ties, prosperity without trouble, satisfaction, career/business growth lies on the ability of man to sync his choices and decisions on natural and spiritual laws, i.e. seedtime and harvest/ sowing and reaping is a natural and spiritual

law-- your ROI or return of investment is dependent on what you sow. Being a Trainer and HR Manager, I have seen this principles at work.. I am a witness to these. And I saw it replicated in many more lives. While methods can help systems, procedures and skills-- it does not change the character and behavior of man. The fact is all laws, controls are meant to protect lives and properties (from another man). There is no man made methodology that effected genuine change. Changes from the inside out (not the other way around), Only God can do that. He made us and He knows best.

To effectively facilitate others to what I have discussed may require personal experience. We can not give what we don't have. Spiritual Intelligence (SI) is all about man's relationship with God (not religion as what most people are thinking). Nothing more and nothing less. ____________
