MSA Attribute Three receptionists receive the order from customer namely Juli, Mona, Rajesh. In order to check the receptionist efficiency the study was carried out. It was decided, if the order is recorded correctly alongwith other details of customer then categorize as conformity (C) or otherwise non conformity (N). n n n n n Select the n samples, 3 operators & 1 team member (Expert) Arrange the gauge Give the numbering to n samples These samples are analyzed by the expert & information is secured with the expert. Now one by one operators (A,B,C) will analyze the samples( Confirmed (C)/Not Confirmed (N)) n This activity will repeated thrice (Trial 3Nos)

Data interpretations are reflected in following terms for each operator Good Correct(1) ( Confirmed declared as confirm) Bad Correct(2) ( Non Confirmed declared as Non confirm) Total Correct(3)=(1+2) False Alarm(4) (Confirmed declared as No confirmed) Misses(5) (Non Confirmed declared as confirmed) Grand Total (6)(No.of parts*No. of Trials)

Calculations:

1. Efficiency(E)= No. of Correct Decisions/Total Opportunity for decisions 2. Probability of fail to detect nonconformity(P MISS)=No. of times that a piece is not has been diagnosed/ Total opportunity for a decision(Non conformity) 3. False Alarm(P FA) =No. of times that correct part is rejected/ Total opportunity for a decision being rejected n Calculate following values for each operator E= Total Correct/Grand Total P(Miss)= Misses/[Bad Correct + Misses] P(False)= False/[Good Correct+ False]

Step V: Analysis in case of P(F) & P(M) are at marginal level


n For Further analysis, if Operators P(F) & P(M) are at marginal level Calculate n n Tendency error b= P(F)/P(M)

Depending on the inferences, decisions for improving the system can be actioned upon.

Operator A: b = 1.433 there is a willingness to reject parts Operator B: B = 0.11 There is willingness to accept parts

Operator C: B = 1.9 there is a willingness to reject parts
