RESPONSIBILITIES OF NIGHT AUDITOR

Responsible To: Job Definition: To organize his section with a view to compile and audit all revenue transactions enacted in all revenue producing areas of the hotel. To reconcile all accounting statements pertaining to daily transactions of business including their recapitulation. To post all charges and also to carry out duties as are performed by the front office cashier. Complete Night Auditing.

Duties & Responsibilities:


To carry out all hotel revenue accounting procedures. To post room charges, taxes and any charged cheques during the shift, if any. To reconcile all revenue statements and the balance of all revenue outlets with machines and controls. To balance and account for all city ledger transfers. To prepare recapitulation report of all total revenue as posted from different outlets. To carry out all cash and other transactions as performed by the shift cashiers/executive. To ensure accurate accounting of all revenue that has been posted to guest accounts.

Supervises: All F.O. cashiers/assistants, night auditors with a view to ensure accuracy in the handing and posting of guest charges and cash accounting of the hotel. The F.O. executive assistant during the night shift. Area Of Operation: F.O / All F & B Outlets cash counter.

Hours Of Operation: Hired for job completion and not for hours of work put in. Authority: Recommending authority for staff working directly under him.

To ensure that all cash and credit transactions are properly accounted for and charged to the correct guest account. Interdepartmental Co-ordination: Restaurant cashier and Night Duty Manager.
