Day 1: Arrive Edinburgh Upon arrival, be transferred to your hotel. Free at your own leisure until the next day. Day 2: Edinburgh Highland Loch Glens Whisky - Edinburgh breakfast After breakfast, make your own way to the meeting point for full day guided tour. Depart Edinburgh at 09:30 and travel North over the Forth Road Bridge to the Kingdom of Fife, which will give you the chance to see the 'Eighth wonder of the World' - the Forth Rail Bridge. Then continue on past Leven Castle and past Perth, the medieval capital of Scotland, stopping a little farther on for coffee (not included). After coffee, the tour will cross the Highland boundary fault line into the thick forest of the Highlands. One part of the forest is especially beautiful - the Hermitage, where you will go for a walk. You will then stop in Pitlochry (ticket not included), you will get the opportunity to visit a whisky distillery or visit it's famous salmon ladder. You will drive along to Fortingal where the Yew tree is the oldest living organism in Europe. From Fortingal you head along the shores of Loch Tay, en route to Edinburgh you'll have a brief stop in Callander. Day 3: Edinburgh Stirling Castle Loch Lomond - Edinburgh breakfast After breakfast, make your own way to the meeting point for a full day tour. A day spent in the land of Scots heroes Rob Roy, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace. You travel to Stirling Castle, where you can visit this imposing stronghold, favorite residence of the Stuart kings and where Mary Queen of Scots was crowned. You then continue into the beautiful forested hills of the Trossachs National Park and stop for lunch in Aberfoyle. After lunch you take the high road to Loch Lomond and you will travel through the protected lands of Scotlands first National Park. The route you take is along the eastern shores, a beautiful sheltered stretch of the loch and the perfect place to enjoy a walk along the bonny banks. You can enjoy the view of the loch and walk in the footsteps of Scotlands famous highland folk hero, Rob Roy Mac Gregor. From here you return to Edinburgh in the late afternoon. Day 4: Edinburgh - Glasgow breakfast Afternoon, make your own way to the train station and catch the train to Glasgow. Upon arrival, make your own way to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Day 5: Glasgow breakfast At leisure to explore Glasgow with hop on hop off bus. Day 6: Glasgow breakfast Day at leisure Day 7: Depart Glasgow breakfast Be transferred to the airport for your flight departure onwards.
