Discussion 1 Raden Irama most commonly known as Rhoma Irama, is an Indonesian dangdut musician, occasional actor and political

comedian. During the height of his stardom in the 1970s, he became the self-proclaimed Raja Dangdut with his group Soneta. In 1973 he released his first album Volume 1, Begadang. That song truly was a success. Yet this Indonesias King of Dangdut stated quite a few controversies during his carrier. For example his criticism targeted fellow dangdut artist Inul Daratista over her dance style and recently he released another discriminative ethnic statement about Jokowi and Basuki, elected Governor of DKI Jakarta, during their campaign. For the last several weeks Rhoma Irama has been issued to run for Indonesia President Election in 2014. Indeed another controversy has emerged as one of the biggest party in Indonesia, PPP, stated that they have interest to endorse him as the candidate. His fans, with no doubt, fully endorsed him as well. They think Rhoma Irama is an artist figure who perfectly capable to lead Indonesia better.
