c) Answer the following questions... What is the same about the past culture and present culture? The things that are the same about the past and present cultures are the music and the time. We have always sung happy birthday when the cake is given. We always made sure that birthdays are celebrated on the day we were born. What is different about the past culture and present culture? My Mom used to go out for supper. It was considered a treat to go out to a restaurant. My twin sister and I always got to pick out our favourite supper at the grocery store and Mom made it for us. We never got to open our gifts before our birthday supper. Mom wanted all of the family there to watch us open the gifts one-by one. My twin sister and I were allowed to invite 4 friends each to our party. Why do you think things have changed between the past and present? I think that the size of our family changed the decisions about birthday celebrations. Mom had 2 parents that worked full time, but when I grew up Mom stayed at home and once we were a bit older, she had part time jobs.
