Dec. 99 to June 2000: Administrator/ Instructor, Career Technology Center, Virginia, USA.
Responsible for the administration of School, including student admissions, records keeping,
correspondence, inventories & accounts. Teaching & Training to students various subjects of
IT and Computer Science like Computer Fundamentals and Programming Concepts, C/C++,
DOS & Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
March 99 to December 99: Analyst Programmer, Computer Links, London, UK.
Responsible for conversion of IBM Mainframe legacy system written
in COBOL into ‘C’ Language.
September 97 to January 99: Deputy Manager/ Senior Instructor, FICS, Lahore.
Administration & Management of the college as Principal of the Institute, Teaching/
Training of students in COBOL, C, C++, DOS, EXCEL, WORD, WINDOWS 9x.
Software development and project assignments including Monitoring & Evaluation,
using above mentioned software packages/ Environment.
May 89 to May 96 : System Analyst, Al-Dhafra Air College Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
Teaching of computers (Basic Knowledge) and teaching by computers (C B T) to the
Cadets using Tencore Authoring Language Maintenance and use of LAN using Novell
Netware 3.1. Maintenance of Cadets Records from their entrance until their passing out
from the Academy, using Excel and FoxPro. Office Management.
August 88 to April 89: Analyst Programmer, General Dynamics Co. of U.S.A.
Responsible for developing a major application consisting of inventory, procurement,
stock and financial accounting. This application was developed on IBM Sys/36
environment using COBOL and RPG-II and on PC environment using Multiplan and
Reflex database.
July 76 to July 88: Analyst Programmer (Deputy Director Systems) P.A.F.
(Retired as Squadron Leader From IT Branch of P.A.F)
I was responsible for structuring a professional I.T. training program. Feasibility study
for the accounting system. Responsible for supporting the IBM System/36 and
Mainframe System/370. Also maintaining and writing of several COBOL & RPG
programs for various running and new systems. System Analysis Design,
Programming and Computer Operations. Designed & Maintained Officers Payroll
System using COBOL and RPG II on IBM Sys/36. Designed & Maintained
Management of Lifed Components System of an Aircraft using RPG-II on IBM
Sys/36. As the Project Leader the responsibilities also included to plan and schedule
the integration and testing activities, managing the workload for the team, to ensure
that new products and releases are effectively tested. Also to advise the management
about the budget and resources required for the next phase of the project. Project
planning, external testing, staff management, scheduling daily activities and reporting
daily progress/ problems encountered at Director level. Visit and meeting with End-
users at various levels for the whole Life Cycle of the Project. Held various Command
& Staff appointments.
June 1970 to March 1974 : Science Teacher, Tameer-I-Nau Public School, Quetta.
Teaching of Science Subjects to High School level students, the prescribed syllabus by
the Board of Education. Additional Duties: In Charge Indoor Games.
