Tersteegs Orchard
It has been nearly 25 years since Tersteegs orchard was planted in Redwood Falls. Every year since we have been proud to provide the community with apples that are as local and as fresh as it gets. We offer seven varieties of apples (Honey Crisp, Honey Gold, Fireside, Herald Red, Sweet Sixteen, Regent, and McIntosh). When you buy our orchard apples in the store, you are getting an apple that has been recently picked and sometimes that same day. Due to pest control management, the need to spray in the orchard is infrequent. This year has been especially unique as the orchard has not been sprayed at all. So for 2013, the only spray on your local apples is good old rain water (on the rare occasion it rained). And if your sweet tooth needs more than fresh produce, our apple crisp should do the trick. Made from our orchard apples and baked from scratch in our bakery, our apple crisp is a delicious fall dessert (great with ice cream as well). Dwight and Alice Hollingsworth developed their Fa Ling line of sauces in the early 1990s for use in their Chinese Restaurant in Redwood Falls. They now offer 2 kinds of Sweet and Sour Sauces and also a Hot Mustard Sauce. Their products are offered throughout the upper Midwest at grocery stores and also shipped direct all over the United States.

Service Enterprises purchased Morgan Popcorn from the George Falconer family, of Balaton, in January of 2005. All the packaging of the popcorn takes place in Redwood Falls, however, the corn is grown over the border in Iowa. The local connection now is in the work this great product provides for a person that has a disability and a job in the community is not readily available. Morgan Popcorn is offered in grocery stores throughout SW MN and boxed and shipped to customers across the United States.

Seifert eggs are locally grown on their family farm near Clements. No Hormones or Antibiotics are used on their chickens and they are licensed through Minnesota Grown and the Mn. Dept. of Ag. Their hens are all raised by free-range practices and supplemented weekly with a variety of nutritious products. Also, all their packaging is reusable and recyclable.
