Prerequisites for Module Students must be undertaking a named award of the university. Credit gained will not be incorporated into calculation of any award classification. Aims of Module To enhance personal development, outwith the formal curriculum, and encourage students to undertake extracurricular activity. To recognise the range of extracurricular activity which students engage in, beyond the formal curriculum, and the personal growth and skills development derived from such activities. To enable students to reflect on, and evaluate, personal growth and skills development arising from extracurricular activity. To enable students to demonstrate how the skills/ experiences gained via engagement in extracurricular activity might benefit their planned career. Primarily the module will be completed via the undertaking of extracurricular activity and the preparation and development of an electronic evidence portfolio. In addtion students may access support resources and workshops as required. Each student should consider extracurricular activity which will enable the learning outcomes to be met.

The module will be assessed on a pass/fail basis, via an eportfolio of evidence and a reflective essay. Indicative Bibliography None.

Learning Outcomes for Module On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to: 1. Undertake, and select, appropriate extracurricular activity in order to achieve the aims. 2. Produce a self crafted portfolio to evidence to record the activity undertaken and learning achieved through the chosen activity. 3. Demonstrate the impact of the chosen activity. 4. Reflect on the personal growth and skills development, including potential benefits to their employability.
