INT. WAREHOUSE MAIN ROOM, NIGHTTIME In a warehouse, an older bearded man is tied to a lone chair, shoeless, with tape over his mouth. He is wearing a dirty lab coat. The empty room is dimly lit, but enough lighting is available to cast a shadow. The man struggles a little bit, but doesnt seem to have the energy left. He had been sitting there for a long time. He hangs his head low. Two thug-like guys walk up to the guy. One of them, ANTONY, slaps him to get his attention. They speak with a stereotypical New York/New Jersey accent. Both of them are slightly built, with tans. ANTONY speaks calmly to the tied up man. ANTONY (calmly) Wakey wakey! You dont want the boss to see you sleeping, dont you? A little bit of hesitation from the man. The other thug, CARLOS comes up from behind. CARLOS (yelling in the mans ear) WAKE UP! From a separate room annexed from where the three men are, another built man, GILBERT (younger 20s) walks out. He is a well-built guy that definitely looks like he could kick your ass any day of the week. GILBERT (aggressively) Antony! (without pronouncing the o, in true Italian style) Carlos! What are you doing to our friend here? He is our guest, and you are going to treat him as one! CARLOS (apologetic) 1

Sorry sir. CARLOS backs up a few steps. ANTONY approaches the unnamed man, and rips off the tape over his mouth. He screams out in pain. ANTONY backs up, to open the unnamed man up for GILBERT to talk to him. GILBERT walks in front of the man, hovering over him, probably to intimidate him. He reaches for his pocket, causing the man to flinch. Instead of a gun, knife, or something to cause his demise (or inflict injury), GILBERT pulls out a syringe. He holds up, and admires it. GILBERT (slowly reading the name of the sample) ZV 42 JC 08 GILBERT (cont.) (excited) The cure to this madness! And we have it! GILBERT looks down on the UNKNOWN MAN. GILBERT (cont.) Only one syringe in existence Is that right? The UNKNOWN MAN doesnt answer. GILBERT (furiously) Is there only one? The UNKNOWN MAN doesnt answer again. GILBERT backhands him across the face. He grunts. GILBERT moves in and gets right in his face. He then pulls out a knife and holds it up to the UNKNOWN MANs throat. GILBERT You are going to tell me about any other samples of the cure, and if you value your life, you are going to do it soon The UNKNOWN MAN doesnt answer, yet again. Gilbert walks around the UNKNOWN MAN and gets right in his face. 2

GILBERT (cont.) So are you going to answer? THE UNKNOWN MAN chose not to answer, and head-butts GILBERT. It really doesnt have any effect on him. He drops his knife, grabs the UNKNOWN MAN by his collar, and pulls him to the ground, his face taking most of the impact. The UNKNOWN MANs face is all bloody now. He spits out a mouthful of blood, and begins to crawl away. GILBERT kicks him in the ribs several times while he tries to get away. CARLOS and ANTONY watch in horror. GILBERT grabs the UNKNOWN MAN by his collar again, lifts him up, and drags him over to a wall. ANTONY and CARLOS follow. GILBERT pins the UNKNOWN MAN up against the wall with his left hand, and punches him with the right. He looks back to get the thugs attentions. GILBERT ANTONY! Bring me my knife! ANTONY picks up the knife GILBERT dropped earlier, and brings it over. GILBERT grabs it, and holds it to THE UNKNOWN MANs throat once again. GILBERT You made the wrong decision. You are now going to die THE UNKNOWN MAN is trembling. Just as GILBERT goes in for the kill, THE UNKNOWN MAN interrupts. UNKNOWN MAN Wait! THE UNKNOWN MAN now has GILBERTs attention. UNKNOWN MAN (cont.) Dont kill me! I I I think I might have something of use GILBERT lets go of THE UNKNOWN MAN and takes a step back. THE UNKNOWN MAN pulls a tattered picture of a young girl out of his pocket, and gives it to GILBERT. GILBERT snatches it out of THE UNKNOWN MANs hand. UNKNOWN MAN (cont.) Her name is Taylor I gave her the cure GILBERT 3

So she has another syringe? UNKNOWN MAN No She has it in her bloodstream. GILBERT becomes somber, as this is definitely the monkey wrench in his plans. He motions for the two thugs to come to him. As they approach him, GILBERT turns around. CARLOS immediately raises his weapon and points it at THE UNKNOWN MAN. GILBERT (subdued) Antony Carlos GILBERT hands the picture to ANTONY. GILBERT (cont.) Bring me this girl. The two thugs seem confused. CARLOS lowers his gun, and looks at GILBERT. CARLOS (questioning GILBERTs motives) How can you ask us to find someone based off of a photograph? GILBERT is slightly agitated by CARLOS tone, but realizes his reasoning. GILBERT (talking Carlos through it) This may seem like an impossible task to you, but this needs to be done. Just look at the grand scheme of things GILBERT pulls out his gun, and shoots THE UNKNOWN MAN in the forehead. GILBERT We dont have time to linger on about this. Every day we dont get what we need brings us closer to death. Ill deal with the body, you find us the girl!

As CARLOS and ANTONY begin to walk away, ANTONY takes a careful look at the picture. FADE
