This VARC course is extensive, and covers every minute

aspect of the CAT VARC syllabus.

Many students preparing for CAT are not even aware of CAT VARC syllabus and exam pattern. It is
advisable that before you prepare for any exam, you go through the updated syllabus of that exam
and also have a look at the latest question paper and the exam paper pattern of the past few years.
This will give you an understanding of what to prepare and how to prepare.

How to use Bodhee Prep’s VARC course:

The course is broadly divided into two parts: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension & Critical
Reasoning.

The verbal ability section of the course offers: CAT Grammar, Word Usage and Vocabulary; CAT Para
jumbles; CAT Odd Sentence, and CAT Paragraph Completion.

The reading comprehension course offers: CAT Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning

In addition to this we have “CAT Recorded Sessions”. These sessions are the live sessions that
we have taken in the past. Similar sessions are cyclically repeated, and whenever there is a new
content, we upload that live session in our CAT recorded sessions folder.

Students who are well-versed with the CAT exam and have taken CAT before, can prepare as per
their own convenience. However, if you are new to CAT and need a study plan, then below are the
steps that you must complete

The study plan flowchart:

1. Cover grammar sessions first. Watch the first nine sessions from the CAT recorded sessions
folder. These sessions are on grammar and cover the basics of sentence formation. Covering
these areas will help you become good at reading. So to change your reading style, you
should watch these videos first:

session?section=15407
2. Once you have finished watching these grammar sessions, we would want you to get some
practice from the practice questions in the grammar folder. While practicing, you must focus
on Subject Verb Agreement, Modifiers, Parallel Construction, Tenses, Pronouns, Idiomatic
errors, and Punctuations:

3. Once you are done with the grammar basics and the grammar practice problems, we want
you to turn your attention to the Parajumbles. You should watch session no 12 and 13 from
CAT verbal recorded sessions:
https://online.bodheeprep.com/learn/CAT-verbal-online-course/CAT-Verbal-Recorded-
session?section=15407
Once you are done with sessions 12 and 13, you can move to the parajumbles practice
problems here:
https://online.bodheeprep.com/learn/CAT-verbal-online-course/parajumbles?
4. The preparation of parajumbles, odd sentence and paragraph completion can go on
simultaneously. However, we want you to always watch the recorded session of a particular
topic first, before you move on to the practice folder. In the recorded sessions we have
taken the basic concepts and have solved a good no of challenging questions. Solving the
challenging questions will ensure that you develop the right approach.

5. Critical Reasoning followed by reading comprehension is the last lap of your preparation. We
recommend that a student watch the critical reasoning sessions first and then go to reading
comprehension. The concepts learned while solving critical reasoning questions could be of
great help in solving the reading comprehension questions.
Please watch CAT recorded session no 23 and 27 first, and then move the practice problems
here:
https://online.bodheeprep.com/learn/CAT-verbal-online-course/CAT-Reading-
Comprehension?section=6463
6. Once you are done with the critical reasoning part, at least some part if not the entire, you
have to move to the reading comprehension section. We want you to watch the reading
comprehension sessions of the CAT recorded sessions folder. Once you have finished
watching the recorded sessions, we want you to go the reading comprehension folder and
start practicing the RC passages from that folder:
https://online.bodheeprep.com/learn/CAT-verbal-online-course/CAT-Reading-
Comprehension?section=6462
After touching some part of all the topics, you can repeatedly practice until you get a firm
grip on the CAT VARC section!

All the best!!

Happy Learning!
