PROGRAMME OVERVIEW The course is delivered by Robert Gordon University in partnership with Global College Malta. Students will be taught by lecturers from Robert Gordon University at the premises of Global College Malta located in SmartCity Malta. The blended model of tuition is based on a combination of on-campus lectures delivered by RGU staff at GCM and distance learning. The course has been developed and is supported by experienced industry professionals, with reference to authentic industry application software, current technical standards, leading-edge engineering practices and is fully accredited by the Energy Institute (EI). This course will allow you to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to select equipment, optimise the design and performance of production facilities and manage eld and well production operations. You will also cover wells and related production facilities, whether on land, offshore or subsea. In addition to the more technical aspects of the course you will also gain valuable management skills for working in a multidisciplinary team on complex projects such as eld developments, eld enhancement projects and well rehabilitations. HOW YOU WILL LEARN Those studying on this blended model course will be taught via a combination of guest speakers, tutorials, discussion and online tutorial via our virtual learning environment.

The blended model course uses the same material and content as the full-time oncampus course and is delivered by the same subject specialists, to the same learning outcomes. Individual Project In order to complete the full MSc you will submit an individual engineering research project with an industry focus. This is designed to allow you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge gained through the course along with integrating and implementing research methods, whilst being of practical relevance. BENEFITS TO YOU This course is fully accredited by the Energy Institute (EI) which ensures the course content is to the highest industry standards providing you with key recognition. This course will also count towards the academic requirements of the EI allowing you to work towards your chartered status. This course gave me an indepth understanding of an area I previously had very little experience of. The earlier modules provided a good grounding in the well life cycle and production facilities. I particularly enjoyed the more specialised modules later in the course and the MSc Project which provided the opportunity to be tutored by experts who are actively engaged in the upstream oil and gas sector.
