Course Subject Description:

Reading and Writing is one of the two (2) English subjects in the Core Curriculum of the K to 12 Senior High School. It is highly considered as a communication tool that requires students to
demonstrate critical thinking and organizing skills towards effective communication. It necessitates the development of the macro skills but with emphasis on reading and writing. It exposes the
students to a wide range of interdisciplinary materials in the production of texts using the process approach.

Culminating Performance Standard:

The learner produces academic writing and professional correspondence following the requirements of well-written texts and process approach to writing.

PERFORMANCE TASK:

In response to the pandemic, there is a National Mental Health Awareness Summit that will be organized by the Philippine Mental Health Association via zoom. It will be attended by government
leaders, officials, NGOs, GOs, educators, student leaders, and peoples from different tribes and faith, and other equally important stakeholders. You are the Executive Committee Chair who is
expected to lead the preparations for this big event. As the Chair, you are expected to submit a project proposal that will reflect all the specific details of this project including the budgetary
requirements. The project proposal should be accompanied by a cover letter. These you will submit to the Philippine Mental Health Association (PMHA) for approval during their regular
council meeting. To raise the awareness of a wider audience, you are to make and distribute a flyer for the event. Your project proposal must meet the following criteria: organization, coherence
and cohesion, language use, mechanics, completeness of details, and budgetary requirements.

ONLINE MODALITY:
