JAN 2013 & SPR 2013 3 Steps to Complete

ONLINE REGISTRATION
1. Before You Register Contact your academic advisor to request an advising appointment. Keep your advising appointment. Your time if valuable; so is your advisors. Discuss with your advisor your course selections for the Januarys J-term and/or spring 2013. 2. Register Your Courses

Log on to your student portal. Select the term of registration: JAN 2013 or SPR 2013. Click on REGISTRATION in the blue menu box. HINT: Using the Apply Filter option, you can set parameters to shorten the course list. This will allow you to view Tuesday only classes, online classes only, etc.

Select Classes. Once you find the courses needed for that term, make the selection by clicking once in the box next the course number. This places a check-mark within the box. To de-select a course, click once within the box to remove the check-mark. HINT: Check out View Pending Courses to verify your course selections before saving, making any changes if necessary.

Save Your Registration. Once your courses for that specific term are selected and verified for accuracy, click SAVE to maintain your selection. Pre-Billing will automatically be transmitted to your student account. Keep in mind, this is Pre-Billing and does not take into account scholarship awards, student loans or other discounts. Once registration for this term is saved, you may select the next term and repeat STEP 2 for additional registration. [To select the next term go to the HOME page and click on (change) just under your name and above the blue menu box]

3. Finalize your Registration

Complete this final registration step before the first day of class each term by contacting the Seminarys Business Office (A114; 423-478-7728) to receive a class pass.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES
(and other helpful information) FOR RETURNING STUDENTS

NOW: Students contact their academic advisor to request an advising appointment. October 29 Nov 9, 2012: Students discuss with their advisor their degree program progress and course selections for January 2013 and/or spring 2013. (All course registration is blocked until the students advisor releases the student for registration. Release to register will occur when the student completes his/her advising appointment.)

October 29, 2012: Students may begin entering January and/or spring 2013 registration from their student portal. November 25, 2012: ONLINE registration concludes for JAN 2013 J-term. November 25, 2012: ONLINE registration concludes for SPR 2013. November 26, 2012: Returning students failing to register during ONLINE registration must now submit their course selections in writing to the Registrars Office. November 26, 2012: Schedule changes for registration already entered are submitted to the Registrar using a DROP/ADD form.*
* A $10 drop/add fee will automatically be applied to the students account for each schedule change occurrence using the drop/add form.

Other Helpful Information


All Masters students (MA, MTS & MDIV) are designated as JUNIORS. All D.Min. students (DMIN) are designated as SENIORS. Change Registered Courses: Registration may be changed during online registration using your student portal until the designated cut-off date. After this date, you are required to use the drop/add form to change your registration. See the registration deadlines listed above. Help with Registration: Registrar Office personnel are available to assist should you have questions regarding these online registration instructions.
