Classic Old Home Day

Favorites
3 Mile Road Race- This Old Home Day classic will
challenge runners of all abilities starting at the Town Hall Building,
run up Church Street to Meetinghouse Hill Road to North Road and
then back to the Town Hall Building.

Parade- Theme “The Music of Your Life”, Fire Trucks,

Antique cars, Floats, and more will all be on hand at the one of a
kind old home day parade. This family friendly and fun event is a
great way to spend some time with the kids and meet new people.
We are proud to have Mr. Bob Kilham this as our parade Grand
Marshal. A chicken BBQ will follow shortly after with a live band
performance by Mr. Nick and the Dirty Tricks.

** Special thanks to Dee Dee and George Putnam for donating cash
and prizes for the children’s portion of the parade. Thanks as well
to Dee Dee for volunteering to help our summer campers decorate
their bikes and for her help with the Parks and Rec float.

Children’s Bike Race- Let the kids peddle it out at

the annual children’s bike race in the center of town this year.
We’ll line them up, give them a course to ride and they’ll peddle
their way to fun. So bring them down and let the kids enjoy
themselves and get some great exciting physical activity in too.
Deerfield Parks & Recreation

Adult Mountain Bike Race- The kids have had a

chance to peddle it out; we’re also going to let adults do the
same. The race this will include multiple divisions teen and adult
with both female and male classes. A new and improved course has
been introduced for this year. The course will consist of
pavement, dirt, and off road sections this year (less rugged than in
years past). Awards will be given out to first place male female
from both teen and adult divisions. Courses will vary between
divisions from 6 to 7 miles for the teens and 8 to 10 miles for the
adults.

Adult Horse Shoe Tournament- This classic

BBQ game for adults will once again be offered as a part of this
year’s Deerfield Old Home Day. Battle it out once again at the
gazebo and see who in town the real ringer is.

Duck Boat Race- Help support charity and have some

fun at the same time. Race the boats down the Lamprey River all
for the benefit of others and your own personal enjoyment.

book to read. This is all possible once again at this great event.
Grab a cookie and a book and you’ll be set. So stop by have some
fun, try out some great baking and get yourself some great books
to read.
