OPERATED SURFACE VALVES WITH ACCESSORIES AND MANUAL REMOTE OPERATED GATE VALVES ACCESSORIES FOR BUILDING DOCK GATE OF HSL.WORK ORDER NO.5095 1.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.1 Quantities of valves, mentioned below are for one in no. of Caission Gate being constructed at HSL. Quotation shall be submitted in triplicate. 1.2 The valves shall be in accordance with DIN standard suitable for Marine application. The valve and drilling of bolt holes of end flanges shall be in accordance with DIN ND10. 1.3 The vendors are requested to download the attached drawings forwarded by HSL, accept to supply accordingly, Stamp the same, SIGN and forward the stamped drawings of Valves along with their quotation, in order to save time in approval of drawings after placement of order. Approx. weights shall be indicated in the drawings. 1.4 SERVICE: Sea water system 1.4.1TESTING OF VALVES: The Nominal pressure of Valves shall be PN10. 1.7 INSPECTION, TESTING AND TEST CERTIFICATION 1.7.1 On visual inspection, valves shall show no defects. The spindle threads and other working parts shall be in good fit and ensuring freedom of movement under service conditions. 1.7.2 All valves shall be tested hydraulically at MAKERS works in presence of surveyors of IRS and their test certificates shall be supplied in one original and 4 copies. 1.7.3 Material test certificate (MTC) clearly indicating the physical & chemical properties of valve and component material shall be provided. 1.8 MARKINGS: On each side of the valve the following particulars shall be marked. (a) Nominal size, (eg. NW250) ; (b) Nominal pressure according to item 1.4 (c) Test pressure PN.10 ; (d) Marks / stamp of the manufacturer (e) Marks / stamp of the class surveyor. ; (f) Year of make. 1.8.1 PROTECTION AGAINST RUST DURING TRANSIT. All valves shall be suitably greased and oiled internally to prevent rusting during transit and the external surface shall be given a protective coat of paint. The open ends of valve shall be effectively closed to prevent the ingress of water or moisture during Transshipment and storage. 1.8.2 PACKING: The entire valves shall be for packed in wooden cases for safe transit. Hand wheels of valves shall be supplied in loose. 1.9 GUARANTEE: The supplier shall guarantee all valves against defective material or workmanship and for proper working of the valves for period of 12 months from the date of commissioning of the respective Dockgate or 30 months from the date of dispatch of material in our yard, which ever is earlier. 2.0 SCOPE OF SUPPLY: 2.1 NW250, Surface valve with manual remote operation along with Deck stand, extended spindle, stuffing box spindle, stuffing box, universal couplings, counter flanges, etc. for Caission Gate. The valves hand wheel would be fitted on the deck stand on the upper deck of the Caission Gate. Material: Body: C.S ; Internals: SS/GM, PN 10 as per DIN Std. The assembly drawings of Caission Gate are attached herewith for overall idea & guidance of the Surface valve and operation. Only the valve to be pressure tested. The other components will be assembled at HSL.

The following accessories are required for manual remote operation of the NW150 Gate valve of Caission Gate. These accessories include Deck stand, stuffing box, stuffing box spindle, universal couplings, extended spindle, etc. The valve hand wheel would be fitted on the deck stand on the upper deck of the Building dock Gate. However the valve drawing along with its components (as indicated above) are to be assembled together and shown in the drawing. The assembled drawings to be forwarded for approval of HSL along with the offer, showing all the components.

NOTE: 1. Suppliers are requested to indicate unit cost for each item separately as per the item Description and code numbers indicated in the above specification. 2. The final requirement would be decided at the time of placement of order. 3. All the valves and fittings are to be provided as per DIN standard. 3. Quantities mentioned above are purely tentative. They may be either enhanced/reduced/ Deleted at the time of placement of order or before manufacturing. 4. In case of doubt regarding any components material specification, the Marine & DIN Standard shall be followed without any price implication.
