OSCWI Meeting Agenda November 21, 2013, 12:00pm at the Officers Club at NAS Whidbey Island Standing Items

-Welcome New Business -Account Balance $4563.37 -Time and Talent info will be ready and available at the December meeting -Help House baskets and holiday cards to service members Due to various opportunities around the community to support needy families during this Holiday season (ie. Church, schools, etc) the board has decided to sponsor a family rather than open it up to donations from OSCWI members. The Giving Tree will be set up at the Navy Exchange and Naval Hospital Oak Harbor. Old Business -Halloween Party The OClub was pleased with the great turnout for the Halloween party and has encouraged the OSCWI to use their venue for future parties! -Boutique Boutique was a huge success! We had 10 more vendors that the previous year for a total of $2000 profit in addition to $300 from the raffle. -Oclub decorating, Monday December 2nd, 9am-11am and 3-5pm. -command stockings We have the following command stockings in storage. If you do not see your command please feel free to purchase one to be hung up at the OClub. VAQ-131, VAQ-132, VAQ-133, VAQ-137, VAQ-139, VAQ140, VAQ-141, VAQ-142, CVWP. Clean up date scheduled for January 2nd from 9am-11am Miscellaneous Business -Time and Talent, MOVED TO APRIL 12th!!!! -Theme is Night at the Races -Next meeting, December 15th, at El Cazador cantina (bar), 5:00pm-6:00pm This will be an informal meeting, the board will be there from 5-6 to hand out Time and Talent packets and answer any questions about T&T or any other upcoming events. Please stop by for a few minutes, or stay for a drink and if you are already out of the house, turn it into a date night or girls night out!!

Command with highest percentage gets first pick of the theme. Membership is discounted to $15 after the first of the year so boost your membership to OSCWI! Tickets for Time & Talent go on sale at a discounted rate.

February 9th- Tickets are FULL price from this date forward. Silent Auctions will now be submitted online. Description and picture for each item must be submitted by this date. March 20- Auction items are needed by this date. April 5th- Ticket sales close by this date. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door so please make sure to get your tickets before this date!! April 12th TIME & TALENT Night at the Races! *No food or drinks at the table but Oclub can have pre-ordered drinks for you waiting at your table. There is no way for these to be policed so plan accordingly. *Commands have 60 days to deposit checks from auction items. After the 60-day grace period all monies will be absorbed into the Charities and Scholarships fund. Checks will not be reissued due to the loss of funds from check cancellations and bank fees.
