Center activities will include the following: o Raccoon: Fact passage with True or False statements for students to select based off of their reading. o Skunk: KWL chart--"L" to be filled in after viewing the "Amazing Facts About Skunks" video:

o Table 4: Skunk DAY 4: Objective: Same as above DAY 4: Materials: Same as above DAY 4: Activities: Centers will continue with the following tables completing the appropriate tasks: o Table 1: Skunk o Table 2: Koala o Table 3: Opossum o Table 4: Raccoon DAY 5: Activities: Students will select one of the nocturnal animals we have discussed during the unit. Students will narrate a day in the life of that animal; for example, where it sleeps, how it eats, how it hunts, how it gets from one place to the next, etc. o Their narrations will be written on the inside of one-half of the folder. o The name of the selected animal will be placed on the outside of the folder. Students will illustrate the animal selected on the other half of the inside of the folder. This will be used as their assessment of learning during the unit.

DAY 5: Objective: Students will individually select a nocturnal animal and will narrate a day in the life of that animal with a matching illustration.
