Attendees: 1+ Program Des)ription: Charles County has developed into a multi)ultural diverse area ,ith a gro,ing population o! people o! di!!erent )ountries, in parti)ular a large portion o! people ,ho spea- Spanish as their primary language. As a result, the li*rary is e/panding their programs and in)orporating *ilingual programs li-e the 0Story time !or &ittle Amigos1 ,here the Children2s &i*rarian tea)hes Spanish on)e a month to the )hildren o! our )ommunity. 3e)ently many patrons have as-ed the Children2s &i*rarian and other sta!! in the li*rary i! ,e provide Spanish )lasses !or adults too. Bearing the demand !or these -inds o! programs *rought upon the idea o! the Spanish Conversational Classes. "hese meetings ,ill ta-e pla)e in one o! our 4roup Study 3ooms ,here people ,ho -no, a little or intermediate Spanish ,ill )ome to pra)ti)e the language in a )asual, !un and edu)ational atmosphere. Sin)e Spanish is my !irst language ( ,ill *e leading the meetings and providing edu)ational in!ormation. (n order to set up this program, ( ,ill prepare mysel! ,ith all the in!ormation ne)essary to develop the )lasses. ( ,ill visit and have dire)t parti)ipation ,ith &i!elong &earning Center in 5aldor!. ( ,ill introdu)e mysel! as the Spanish6Bilingual sta!! ,or-ing at the li*rary and shado, their )lasses to get ideas and to promote the Spanish Conversational Classes along ,ith other programs ,ithin the organi7ation. 5or-ing in )olla*oration ,ith &&C ,ill help me to e/pand my mar-eting ,ithin those ,ho ,anted to learn or pra)ti)e the Spanish language. ( ,ill *lo)- time o!! !rom our meeting rooms ,ith at least three months in advan)e. ( ,ill advertise using !lyers, the li*rary digital display, CCP& pamphlets, CCP& monthly email ne,sletter, and our ,e*site ,here our patrons ,ould *e a*le to register !or the )lasses. Evaluation: Paper evaluation !orms ,ill *e handed out to the parti)ipants !or suggestions, improvements or ideas.
