Lesson procedure Stage 1. The beginning of the lesson T: Good afternoon, everybody! Get ready for the lesson. Today we have to get some new information about law. T: We have named a lot of crimes. But do you know the names of the criminals? So look at the board (appears on the board) and try to give the name for the person who: 1. sets fire to property illegally? arsonist 2. steals from the shops while acting as an ordinary customer? shoplifter 3. attacks and robs people often in the streets? mugger 4. deliberately causes damage to the property? vandal 5. breaks into houses or other buildings to steal? burglar 6. kills someone? murder 7. takes away people by force and demands money for their return? kidnapper 8. takes things which do not belong to them? thief 9. takes control of a plane by force and make the pilot change course? hijacker 10.steals money etc. from people or places? robber

Thered be no police or courts to keep control. Law is very important. It keeps order in our society. Our laws started thousands of years ago. Many of todays laws were made centuries ago. New laws need to be made every day. Especially in todays world, where the Internet is so important. Its very difficult to keep laws up to date with new developments.
