With its numerous appendices, the API-650 standard accommodates a vast array of engineering specifications ranging from carbon steel, stainless steel and other alloy designs; open top, fixed roof or floating roof designs; high temperature applications up to 500o F and various seismic loadings for field erected and shop built tanks.
