So The Project was to Create an audio podcast. A podcast is basically a type of radio show which sometimes can come with an image which some people like listening to rather than videos or other types of media as it is more focused on Conversations and topics seen as there is usually only Sound and no video. There were separate groups assigned to the project and we all came up with our individual music topics, y groups topic was !Can people have a broad Appreciation of music"# $ was in a group of %, e, Toby, &osh, Amy, 'yan and $ believe this was a very interesting subject to base our podcast as it was something that was original and $ had generally never heard of before. $ also thought it was a good choice of topic as it re(uired a lot of research meaning that $ would learn things about different genres of music as well as what some members of the public liked, in terms of guilty pleasures in music and )enres. y )roup Started 'esearch by doing many things such as e*ploring online and finding very useful sources of information to use in our podcast to make it more factual and to really have any listeners to our podcast actually gain some knowledge and also have interest in the topic we are about. +e also made surveys and interview different members of the public to back up our research and as well as that also get different opinions and tastes in music to contrast to what we already had so that our podcast would not become ,ias or one sided. $ believe that the topic chosen is very appropriate for my course as it clearly links music, music tastes, )enres and how certain tracks are made through influences. This relates to Technology in many vast and different ways.

$ have an understanding of podcasts and the topic chosen because i think i have a broad appreciation of music. $ listen to many different genres of music so $ do know some basic things about liking multiple types of genres for e*ample $ know that -ip hop sounds similar to '.,. $ also have a good knowledge of Podcasts as $ listen to a few myself and know how they are recorded, what they contain, what they should not contain and what keeps listeners interested and entertained. After listening to the podcast $ want people to e*plore and e*periment with other genres of music and find more music they like especially due to how similar and different some genres are. These Similarities and differences can lead to a better appreciation of music and they may even inspire a producer or song writer to $ncorporate Techni(ues and Contents of Completely different genres into there songs so they can make even more varied and wonderful tracks. $ do think that there is enough source material to justify its research as although !,road Appreciations of usic# is less talked about it really does need to be promoted and there is source material to be found everywhere even just asking multiple people what genres they do and do not like is enough to make an interesting discussion/investigation on. +e could have chose some other topics but we thought they did not show any originality and were already widely talked about Such as the history of -ip0-op. $ think !,road Appreciations of usic# is a much more interesting topic and is one that can easily be e*plored and can be turned into a factual podcast which is still entertaining. 1sing The internet alone may not be accurate as many things on the internet are rumored or untrue as the people who write such information are misinformed or bias. ,eing ,ias is when someone Shows prejudice for or against someone or something unfairly. $ think having a surplus of research sources is better than just one as it gives you more broader and accurate information, This is why my group used many different ways to research such as surveys.

'esearch Proposals are good ways of getting information of your chosen topic as they offer a more organi2ed and accurate range of ways to obtain information needed to making a podcasts. A research proposal is written by a researcher that offers a detailed description of the investigation or project. $t is like an outline of the research process that gives a reader a summary of the information discussed.Timelines are also a great idea as they keep track of any information gathered and it provides a means of double checking your work so that there are no pieces of false information. $t keeps everyone Arranged, 3rgani2ed and it makes sure everyone has something to do and shows them how to do it. 'esearch Proposals and +orking in a team is the perfect combination as it provides an e*tremely effective way of gathering information and research as it again provides a means of validating sources and their information and it basically decreases the chance of and false information. y 'esearch Proposal was to gather information in many different ways such as searching on the internet, Surveying, )etting various opinions and looking through other Types of media for information or research that maybe useful in our investigation such as books. A timeline was needed to make sure our research and the final product was finished in time.
