No. of students enrolled in a Japanese studies program at your institution (if applicable) Why do you wish to apply for books through this Donation Project? Our aim is to enrich the book fond in foreign languages, since more and more users are interested in reading literature in other languages. Mostly young people show strong ambition in improving their English language ability. We are trying to meet the needs of our users, especially younger ones, which are the most demanding at the same time.

What kind of users of your library are interested in Japan? Most of the users interested in Japan are university and high school students. Moreover, there are many young people from Kraljevo that are currently students of Japanese language and literature, and regular users of our library. Moreover, among our creative workshop, there is one in origami which is very popular among children, as well as among university students.

Does your library have plans to expand its Japan-related book collection?
Yes We would like to expand our book collections related to Japanese art and culture. No

Besides the 100 books on Japan available through this donation project, what kind of books related to Japan do you wish to acquire? We would like to have more books on Japanese art, especially origami related books, which would be very useful for of our origami workshop. some monograph cities, further development p g p Also, , we would like to acquire q g p books on Japanese p , like Kyoto or Tokyo, or other books related to demography and geography of Japan.

What is the mission of your library? Our mission is to provide the best service we could for our users, in content and quality. We are trying to expand our offer in books and librarian material and at the same time we are working on protection of the existing one. Furthermore, we are making an effort to make the information we offer available for our online users and we constantly work on digitalization of librarian material. It is very important for our Library to cooperate with cultural institutions and schools, as well as with other work organizations in Kraljevo. Also, our aim is to continue and establish cooperation with Embassies and partner institution in country and abroad. We are proud to say that we have already accomplished good cooperation with Japanese Embassy, likewise with other Embassies in Serbia.
