TRATON HEADLINE: Atlanta Homes - New
Information Source Available for Home Buyers
Many home-buying decisions originate as Internet searches for
information. For this reason, various builders, developers, real-estate
agents, and other entities have posted a plethora of information on the
Internet to increase their visibility.
Much of these amount to nothing more than propaganda that provides
a sales pitch.
Unlike these propaganda sites, there also exist some sites that are
dedicated to providing useful information that can apprise the
potential home-buyer of a handful of issues related to one or more of
the builders, developers, or other vendors.
One trusted site is clarkhoward.com, where Atlanta's own Clark
Howard, who is a consumer advocate, provides lots of useful
information on everything, including homes.
Another site simply called Atlanta Homes, which is relatively new, is
dedicated to only reporting on Atlanta Homes (hence, the catchy title
for the website). Unlike Clark Howard, who provides information on a
variety of consumer topics, Atlanta Homes has focused its topics to
only those that affect real estate, ranging from residential homes and
market conditions to focused research on customer service by specific
companies.
What is unique is that Atlanta Homes simply gathers news-worthy
items and re-posts them with proper attribution to the original
sources. Thus, as noted by one frequent visitor to Atlanta Homes, "you
now have a single website that brings together real-estate-related news
for the greater metro-Atlanta area. Also, since Atlanta Homes does not
actually write the articles, but merely gathers them from other sources,
I would think that their posts are relatively un-biased."
