World 'ended' in 2013 (it's call year 1)

'Current' Time is 2775 (it's called year 762)

The world ended in what is called a combination of fuck tons of explosions and
technology deciding it just didn't feel like doing anything anymore. Truthfully,
no one honestly remembers how the 'world ended' but all everyone knows is that it
DID. (ie liz has no clue, really should figure it out but doesn't care! \o/)

As a result of the explosions that helped aid the 'end' of the world and reverting
back to steampower, the sky seems to constantly have an almost grimy layer between
the ground and sky that casts shadows and gloom over everything even on the
sunnist of days. Most of the taller building have fallen by now and if any stand,
they are unstable and only the most desperate of people (either homeless or those
hiding) dare enter them. Many of the larger cities have been abandonded over the
years and nature has struggled to reclaim them, covering much of the ruins with
vegetation. Larger cities are cropping up as a result of the steam-technology
started to progress and cities able to support more people. But the Church warns
of the dangers of this. Look what happened the FIRST time after all.

However there is usually one tall and safe building in most larger cities, The
Chapel, the home of The Church and therefore the safest place to live. Plus the
Werewolves usually live there to 'protect' them from The Fallen Ones. Or is it to
keep them from the rest of the world so truths aren't told? Who knows.

Everyone in the world knows about supernatural beings, or as they are called by
the Church, The Children or The Fallen Ones. The Children are the ones who are
viewed as 'good' and The Fallen Ones are the ones viewed as 'bad'.

The Children:
Werewolves
Sorcerers
Witches
Vampires/Dhampirs
-------- Werewolves are the most holy of The Children, as they are modeled
after ?? and were sent to help guide humanity. Sorcerers and witches are viewed as
close to human but not, sort of like angels. And vampires used to be human, but
those humans who were 'good' enough to be granted the blessing of becoming of The
Children; dhampirs are viewed as blessed children of vampires and humans

The Fallen Ones:

Werefoxes
Half-Demons
Chimeras
-------- Werefoxes are considered mockeries of the Wolves and thus are despised.
Half-demons are, well, half demon. And chimeras are viewed as a type of 'demon'
who stole powers from the angels (ie sorcerers/witches), more then likely by
eating them.

The supernatural beings all used to appear the same as humanity, allowing them to
blend in. But someone that happened at the 'end' of the world that made them have
outwards signs of what races of supernatural being they are.
Wolves + Foxes = slit pupil eyes, hair feels like fur and claws instead of
fingernails
Sorcerers/Witches = large feathery 'angel' wings that grow out of their
shoulderblades during puberty
Vampires/Dhampirs = pointed ears and their eyes, whatever colour they may be,
always glow in the light or dark.
Half-demons = Markings (like tattoos except born with them) all over their bodies
that colours show what demon sired them
Chimeras = large leathery 'bat' wings that grow out of their shoulderblades during
puberty

BASIC LEGEND (made up by The Church) ((ohthefail))

In the beginning, there was nothing. No life, no planet. Nothing. And then Hora
waved her hands and created all there was. Though in the beginning it was just her
and the Werewolves, whom she modeled them after herself. And it was all good. But
the Wolves lamented that they were lonely and wished they had something they could
do to bring honour to their Mother.

And Hora who could not deny her Children much of anything, created the rest of the
world. Humanity and the rest of the beings who she would adopt as her Children
later. And she turned all her Children to look like the humans she made, so they
could live among them and help steer their lives without interferring too much.

But Hora had not been alone in the period when there was nothing, she has a
younger and jealous sister named Letum who silently raged to herself that her
sister had such things and she had nothing for herself. So Letum created her own
children, the Fallen Ones, and sent them to serve as temptation to the humans whom
Hora seemed to take such pride in.

All this took place in the time before The End (or year 1).

Hora grew angry at how much Letum and her Fallen Ones had defiled her world she
had created and the technology (among other things) that had caused people to
forget she even existed and so she stretched her hand out and struck down the
world, her anger destorying many people and most technology.

When her temper faded, Hora was horrified to see what she had done and swore to
never do such a thing again as long as humanity never got to the state they had
gotten to before. And to help, she put upon the Children and Fallen ones outward
signs so humans could recognize them.

And she told her holiest of her Children to start the Church to defend humanity
against itself. The Church is the only defense against the world ending once more
and even if how they go about it seems wrong and bad, it is right and good for the
Church is directed by the hands of Hora.
