Our Foundation Programs Explained

Levels 1,2 and 3 The first three levels at al rowdah academy help students develop their English language skills at beginners level. Each level lasts for six weeks and Covers the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as grammar and vocabulary. Levels 4 to 9

Abu Dhabi Al Ain

These levels are aimed at high school graduates with at least a 2.5 score at IELTS ( or equivalent ). The program cover six six week levels and includes both intensive English language training and support in preparing students for their English exam. Students will also develop a range of subjects, including maths and other pathway subjects as well as the study skills needed to achieve academic success in higher education. Entry requirements Al rowdah academy will normally check the CEPA score of applicants to decide on their entry level. They may also be required to take aplacement test

The Al Rowdah Academy is an independent entity governed by board members representing ACTVET, ADVETI and IAT. The academy is run in partnership with Kaplan international Colleges, an international provider of pathway colleges for many universities in countries around the world. Currently, the Academy provides unique programs that enhance EMIRATI students English language ability, study skills, mathematics and introductory pathway subject knowledge to a level required for entry into a variety of local vocational education institutes and academies governed by IAT ( institute of Applied Technology ) and ADVETI ( Abu Dhabi Vocational Educational Training Institute). Al Rowdah Academy aims to be the leader in foundation education in the UAE and wider gulf region by 2015. Al rowdah academy study levels are aligned with the common eropean framework of reference for languages ( CEFR ), which is used very widely internationally and all important language exams are linked to it.

The Al Rowdah Approach

We believe that you learn a language by using it. This means that you will be very active in class. You will spend a lot of time practicing new language and speaking with other students. Our teachers will listen to you, correct your mistakes, build your confidence and give you advice on how you can improve. They will also show you ways to practice your English outside class so that you can progress more quickly. We will also encourage you to become a more independent learner and will provide you with effective learning technologies to support your learning outside the classroom. We use ablended approach of face-to-face and on-line delivery. This provides additional support and opportunities for you to practice your English outside of the classroom.
