Read the following text carefully.
Two weeks ago, I had my first job interview in years. I wasnt really expecting
it. I was called for interview for a full-time position. I had seen the ad in the
newspaper a month before. Ive been working as a freelance photographer since
2003. I decided to stay at home after my second child was born. My wife and I made

the decision when we had to consider our income: we couldnt afford a day care
centre of our children. As she was working as a doctor in a nearby clinic, it seemed
obvious I had to stay home to care of our children and our house since she made
more money than I did.

I think it will be exciting to go back to a full-time job because I miss speaking to

other adults and travelling too. I havent had many work opportunities since I couldnt
really travel. Ive been a stay-at-home Dad for the last few years and it seems Ive
forgotten all about the outside world. From time to time I try to go out and take
pictures of people in the street, of the city, but my wifes job is very demanding and
our children are so little that they need my full attention. I like being around them

though. Weve got an amazing relationship. We talk a lot and we play a lot too. They
are quite imaginative children and one of the games they like is to invent stories from
the pictures I take.
If I get the job, Ill have to balance work and family. Im not sure Im ready to go
back to an office but I need a career. I think I still have good personal qualities: Im

very professional and punctual, and of course people can depend on me. As far as
my professional qualifications are concerned, Ive got a degree in photography and
Ive just taken some courses in digital photography as well.
