In this new area we start a new mission. We don't know yet what the
Lord has in mind for us to do from now on, but we are sure He is with us and He will lead the way!

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ and family and friends, VSTe are sending this to let you know how Ruth is doing.
She is still in the Intensive Care Unit and in induced coma.

She is connected to a respirator machine and continues with

Hemodialysis daily, which makes her have to take a medication
that thins her blood and because of this needs a blood transfusion

eVery day. She is getting nutrition by "IV" but the doctor said it
is not enough to strengthen her.
We know you suffer much with us. We do appreciate your so many

prayers and contacts. They are so encouraging. God bless and keep you and make His face shine upon you. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. God bless you!

Darel and a group from the US met in Recife Rented a van, (Driver was included), and enjoyed

Luiz and Starla's home is adjacent to the Carolinas with a wall around the house & yard. It meets their needs, & is readily :findable". Norton Sent

funds for groceries to make food baskets, & the group helped shop, pack, and distribute about 20 "baskets" (2 full/heavy grocery bags.) Some were given in a worship service and some were delivered by the group to homes, giving a good view of some of the Carolinas area & people. First picture, street in front of their home - Second - Shopping for food - Staria& Kalinka make the lists - multiply by number of needy families & shop at this huge "Sam's Club" like warehouse, this trip was over $500;00

The work there needs a service center, & the delay thus far may have
a reason: new possibilities appearing that weren't there earlier. PRAYER is requested for the site and for needed funds to sustain the workers.

In Brasilia L. David and Ruth were doing pretty well at the time. There were terrific visits, church attendance both am & pm, with Darel preaching at their pm services as "President of BCM". Their regard for the Sanders is

super high, as is their appreciation for BCM's part in sending and sustaining them. Son Daryl from S. Carolina was with them. His wife died recently, and he confided that "This is part of my therapy." The Brasilia church
appears strong and wonderfully supportive of the Sanders.

Shortly after our visit Ruth was taken ill and has been in the hospital
since with pneumonia and some kidney infection. She is scheduled to return home as soon as a room can be fixed for her. She will need 24/7 care with
oxygen and nurses. L. David continues with treatment for renewed tumors.

Mav we be faithful in our pravers for them: thev request nothing of

greater urgencv. and never have through all their vears.

David & Darel went to Goiania for the world Convention July 25-28. David was honored in a convention service, and by persons and families galore! The final night there was a special offering because the outgo had dwarfed the income (not unique in Brazil!) The offering was still
inadequate, but an anonymous donor gave the balance needed "in honor of
David and Ruth Sanders". Praise the Lord!

We also were able to visit a drug/alcohol rehab center, sponsored by a mission group from Sao Paulo, and watch them make brooms from plastic
soda pop bottles.

We observed the brand new Kids Place that is ready to serve over 100 kids daily, and lunched there in their dining hall. Nubia is Luiz" neice, and

is director. She shared the history of Kids Place including Starla's securing of the site via the Luxemburg Embassy, and events that made possible the
debt-free building.
