Spring Initiation
The Alpha-Theta Chapter and Hegemon Max Reikosky 14 and Tristan Gavin 14 initiated a whopping 33 new fraters during a successful spring initiation, bringing the total chapter size to 103 members. Do the math: 1/15 Whitman students are TKEs!

Were #1! Alpha! Theta featured in The Teke

In the Spring 2014 issue of The Teke, the national magazine for TKE, the Alpha-Theta Chapter was #1 in the nation for size of fall recruiting class, with 45 new members. A hugely successful rush under Rush Chair Genta Ohgushi 14 culminated in a Palouse Falls Cliff Jumping trip that necessitated a charter bus to accommodate all the interested rushees.

Greetings to Alumni and friends of Whitman TKE! My name is Chris Perkins and I currently serve as the Histor for the Alpha!Theta chapter at Whitman College. It is with pleasure that I report on current events within the chapter and hopefully continue to cultivate a lasting relationship with the TKE House. " TKE continues to have a strong, meaningful presence at Whitman. Our size alone makes us a huge force on campus, and Im continually impressed with the involvement of fraters on campus. Whether on the debate team, ASWC, or on numerous sports teams including baseball, basketball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee, TKE leadership runs strong. !

Highest GPA on Campus

TKE achieved the highest GPA among male Greek Groups for both Spring and Fall Semesters in the year 2013 with a 3.32 cumulative GPA. Fraters excel in several departments on campus: BBMB, Physics, Anthropology, Chemistry, Philosophy, English, Math, Asian Studies, and Politics, among others.

Greetings from the Board of Advisors!
Alpha!Thetas ongoing chapter operations are overseen by a dedicated group of volunteer TKE alums, collectively acting as a housing corporation incorporated in the State of Washington. Historically referred to as the chapters Board of Advisors #Board$, the Board has ve main responsibilities: 1. Promote fraternity, scholarship, leadership and moral standards among the undergraduate members of Alpha Theta chapter." 2. Supervise the nances of the chapter." 3. Manage and improve the property and buildings owned by the Alpha Theta Association of Tau Kappa Epsilon #the formal name of the housing corporation$." 4. Working in conjunction with the undergraduate members elected leadership team, help coordinate the activities of the undergraduate chapter members." 5. Provide mentorship to the undergraduate chapter members." In the absence of a formally chartered Alumni Association, the Board also has some measure of responsibility for maintaining communications with the Alpha Theta alumni base #although this undertaking has historically been led by the undergraduate chapter$. "

In accordance with the By!Laws #adopted in 2012$, the Board consists of not less than six and no more than ten directors. Each director is elected to a three!year term of o"ce and may be re!elected for up to two additional terms subject to meeting certain conditions. Terms of o&ce are staggered over a three! year period to ensure continuity of the Board."

Given the geographic dispersion of the Board, its activities are conducted through a combination of direct engagement with the undergraduate chapter members, phone calls, and emails. The Board itself conducts formal meetings by phone once a quarter and holds elections of its o&cers annually. " " The Board is currently seeking one or two additional members to be elected at its upcoming Annual Meeting in July 2014. Although a genuine interest in giving back to Alpha Theta is the preeminent qualication for consideration as a prospective candidate, we are actively looking for #younger$ alums who have active experience/expertise in the nancial and property management elds. Any alum interested in learning more about the Board of Advisors and/or expressing his willingness to be considered as a candidate should direct his inquiry to Norm Swick at normswick49.com or by calling him at home #206!283!7535$.!

The Board is currently comprised of eight directors residing throughout the Pacic Northwest, who serve in the following capacities:"
