It provides individuals and institutions with access to contemporary British ideas and expertise. In India, the Council operates as a ivision of the British !igh Commission. "ith offices in the four metros and a networ# of seven li$raries, this is the Councils largest operation in the world. The %xaminations division of the Council manages and delivers a wide range of &ualifications for UK'$ased educational institutions and examination $oards. 2. "escription of Services The British Council offers examining $odies the following services for administration of examinations. Exam Material In order for us to deliver the a$ove services effectively, the following actions are re&uired of examining $odies* /.0 .ll exam papers and documentation must reach us at least 01 wor#ing days prior to the start of the examination along with a chec#list of items enclosed. /.2 .ll examination material must $e clearly mar#ed as follows on the envelope* UK 3ualifications 4aterial* Confidential 5.-* !ead, %xaminations 6ervices 7(lease do not address any individual $y name8. )o Commercial 9alue

The a$ove'mentioned fee is per paper per candidate "here external venues are used, in addition to the fee a$ove the actual cost of hire of venue will $e charged to the examining $ody , $oard These fees are only applica$le to exams which finish $y C*11 pm local time. 5or any exam that lasts more than / hours, there is a 01D surcharge on the candidate fee providing the exam finishes $y C*11 pm local time
