Revised Implementing Guidelines for the 2013 Skills Exhibition NATIONAL TECHNOLYMPICS I. Participants 1. The 2013 National Technolympics will showcase marketable products and performances in the different skills acquired by the students in the various specializations of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and Technical Vocational Education (TVE). This is open to all high school students enrolled in both public and private high schools all over the Philippines. 2. The Regional Supervisors/Coordinators/Representatives are expected to send Pre-registration at least two weeks before the scheduled event using the attached form found in Enclosure No.1. II. the 3rd Grading Period to determine participants to the Regional Level. Likewise, the Regional Officials will hold the same activity towards the end of the 4th Grading Period to select representatives to the 2013 National Technolympics.

The 2013 National Technolympics shall be participated in by bonafide students enrolled in public (General or TechVoc) or private high schools during the school year 20122013; The school principal shall certify that the students are enrolled in the field of specialization where they are participating; TLE teachers must submit the following documents: Certification (using the template found in enclosure no. 2) from the principal that the teacher is currently employed whether local or national; and Certification (using the template found in enclosure no. 3) from the principal regarding the teachers designation as the adviser of the student-participant.

2.2 Skills Exhibition The region shall identify the participants per event as specified in the event packages. 2.2.1 Participant may only join in one event. 2.2.2 There shall be eight individual and five team (of two members) events. 2.3 Bazaar 2.3.1 All participating regions are required to display their best products and performances before the opening program. However, the region will choose only one entry for each product and service to participate in the search for the most enterprising award (See Enclosure No. 4). Each region shall assign two TLE/TVE students who are not participating in the skills exhibition to market their products/performances within the exhibit booth area. All items in the exhibit area must be offered for sale. All products/performances offered/displayed in the Bazaar are produced/rendered by the TLE or TVE students as certified by the school head. The points earned/rank in the Bazaar Exhibit shall be part of the over-all National Record Holders.

2.4 Mechanics of Judging Skills Exhibition 2.4.1 The products and performances of participants in all events shall be judged by three members of the Board of Judges composed of experts, practitioners, service providers or professionals. Judges will use the prepared score sheets for both products and performances. Points given to each of the participants shall be added by each member of the Jury. The total scores of each participant shall be ranked with the highest total number of points as rank one, (Enclosure No. 4).

The tabulation committee members, who are BSE Specialists, shall review the computation and ranking made by the judges. The participant with the highest total number of points shall be declared the National Record Holder. The final results shall be reviewed by the members of the Board of Judges before affixing their signatures in the summary sheet. In case of a tie, triple tie or a quadruple tie, the participant who finished first will be declared as the champion. The decision of the Board of judges is final and irrevocable.

2.5 Mechanics for Judging the Bazaar Exhibits (Most Enterprising Award) 2.5.1 Entry products and performances from each region will be judged based on certain criteria set by the National Committee composed of BSE Specialists and representative from DTI. 3. 4.
