A Newbie's Guide to BC Disclaimer: I am by no means a Battle Campaign expert, but I do believe I can help those new to the concept

of PVP and BC. y goal is to encourage more PVP among new players who feel left out due to the stigma of BC being only for !elitists". #his guide is made to help those who would li$e to participate in BC but have no idea where to start. %If you have concerns, thin$ I should add something, or wish to complain, P me in game.&

Nations #here will be two nations that are fighting. 'or example, this month, it was the Portuguese and the 'rench. If you were Portuguese, you were forced to fight for the Portuguese camp. If you were 'rench you were forced to fight for the 'rench. If you were not in those ( nations, you can fight on either side. Requirement #here are a few unofficial re)uirements for BC: *evel +(, maritime Vaisseau or better warship -ecent s$ill ran$s that prevent you from being $illed and farmed 'leet food .not so much re)uired but very nice to have for those stuc$ in melee/ 0epair and 1urgery s$ills Boosters to assist you in meeting decent ran$s 2ides in correct 3obs with boosts to your s$ills 2ide with shot4specific defense .double shot defense and normal shot defense being the most common %not re)uired but strongly suggested&/

#hese re)uirements aren5t meant to scare you off and, of course, there are exceptions, but do $eep them in mind before you go to BC. :/ Where to start #o go the ission 67 .the !lobby" for BC matches/, go to the doc$ of your town. #here will be a button with red and blue flags called !#ransport 1hip". 8o to the camp you would li$e .or have to go to if your nation is a fighting camp/. #he ride to the ission 67 is only a few seconds and operates li$e a liner. In the harbour of the ission 67, you will see the Info 9fficer. #hat is where you loo$ at matches. #o the left, you will see the basics. :rrand boy .bar$eeper/, Cler$, etc. How to join matches 8o to the Info 9fficer. Clic$ the button called ! ission *ist". <ou will see available matches. 1ome have loc$s .private matches/ and some are open. *oo$ at the open matches and clic$ the !details" ilitary 9fficer .seafarer;merchant/, Ban$

button to see who is in the lobby, what the map is, the point count, etc. If you choose to 3oin, you will enter the party chat for the lobby you are. 9nce you have 3oined a mission, tal$ to the Info 9fficer again and press ! ission Information". sure you are ready and press the !'inish Battle preparations" button. <ou are set for battle. a$e

#he person who made the room might tell you to switch sides if it is uneven before they start the match. If they do so, withdraw from their mission .on the !mission information" page/ and go to the harbour. 8o to the doc$ of the town you were in and go to the other battle camp. 9bviously, you cannot do this if you are in a nation4specific camp .li$e if you are Portuguese when there is a Portuguese camp/. The Battle 2 message will pop up saying that the battle will start in (= seconds. 6ead for the doc$s and stoc$ your supplies, chec$ your ship parts and loo$ at your gear to ma$e sure it is not low dura. >hen you are ready, set sail. <our team members will be beside you. #he map is divided into three parts: 'riendly side, neutral side, enemy side. <ou will start on the friendly side with your team and you may choose to go to the neutral part of the map 90 stay on your side .if you are outnumbered, your teammates can re4spawn after death and meet bac$ up )uic$ly/. If people are lining up behind your teammate5s stern or in the front of their bow, melee the enemy or shoot at them to ma$e them move. #hey will be trying to get a crit;$ill on the person their teammate is !holding" in melee.
