TASK : The situation : See the situation below. Write dialogues based on the situations given by using the information below. Each dialogue must not exceed 10 sentences each. The roles : you and a friend.

1. At a restaurant. The food is terrible. You and your friend are eating mixed rice, roti canai and ice tea. The waiter comes by and asks how the appetizing and why you dislike it.

Waiter Me

: How about the meal sir?. Is it okey? : Its tasty but the roti canai is quite oily and its not soft. But the gravy is tasty and it suit me. : Sorry madam, usually its okey but since the chef is on a holiday, so someone takes his place. How about our mixed rice?

Waiter

Iman

: The chicken is tender and juicy but it is a little bit salty. Overall the presentation is nice and it is really mouth watering.

Waiter Iman

: Thank you for the compliment. Anything else? : I think the vegetables is overcook because it is rather soft to me and the rice is not well cook.

Waiter Me

: What about the drinks madam? : I like the taste of it but it is too sweet for me. Its not good for my health.

Waiter

: Thank you madamfor all you comment and advice. We will try to improve our dishes. I hope you will come here again next time and try our new dishes.

Me

: Oh, okey. Thank you.

2. In an English course. The teacher is teaching about grammar. Tell your partner why you dislike English grammar.

: What do you think of English Grammar? : I cant stand it. : Why? There must be some reasons why you dislike English Grammar.

: I personally hate grammar because its just too much. The fact that you have to learn every rule of the English Grammar by heart in order to communicate, it just demotivating.

: Come on, Its not that bad. : Grammar is too difficult to learn and boring because it is full of rules. : Maybe by doing the exercises you can catch up with English Grammmar.

: I hope you can teach me. : Dont worry. Ill give you some tips on how to learn grammar the easy way.

: Oh, in that case, I wont feel boring anymore. Thank you.

: I cant believe taht you served my favourite food which is mee kuah. I like the spaghetti taht you made.

: I learn the receipe from Asia Food Channel just for your special day. : Wow... so touching. The most anticipated games that I really favour is musical chair.

: Oh... I know it. This game has been your favourite since kindergarten. : Ha..ha..ha.. Thanks again for organising this birthday party for me. I really appreciate it.

: Its ok. Im glad you enjoy yourselself. : Yes. I love it.

4. At dinner. Discuss a movie that you have just seen with your friend.

: Certainly. By the way, do you enjoy the movie? : Adnan Sempit 2. What a funny movie isnt it. I watched the movie twice with my kid and they really liked it. : Well thats good. I liked it too. All the actors bring the characters effectively especially Sam.Only see his mimic face can make we laugh.

: The second sequel was entertain more than the first. : I enjoyed the part where Adnan try to speak English in order to become a corporate member.

: Yea. What a funny part. But for me I enjoyed the part when Adnan and his best friends, Bobby learnt how to play golf. : I hope there will be sequence after this. Cant wait till the next comes out.

5. The school holiday is coming soon. Discuss with your husband/wife/friend what you should do.

Wife

: Darling, where are we going for our holiday? : Lets go to Singapore. I want to visit Universal Studio. I heard the place is awesome.

Husband : Where do you want to go? Wife

Husband : Hah!, Singapore? No..No..No.. Why so far? Why dont we just go around Malaysia. Theres a lot of places to go. Wife : If we cannot go to Singapore, where do you suggest we spent our holiday? Husband : What about going to The East Coast? Where do you prefer? Kelantan or Terengganu? Wife : I choose both. Can we darling?

Husband : Ok. Anything for you dear. Wife : Tonight, we will discuss it with our kids about our holiday itinerary.

Husband : Ok. I hope the kids agree with our plan.
