The Bunny Man

1.EXT. BACK GARDEN. DAY TIME Its a bright sunny day. A young kid, Jim is sitting on the grass clenching a rabbit in his arms. BRUCE (Jims Father) enters taking the rabbit out of JIMS arms. Cut to C.U. of a steaming pot. The rabbit appears dead and is held from its ankle by Bruce. The rabbit is slowly dipped into the pot. Cut to JimS family is sitting outside on the picnic table. BBQ DINER 1 This is a fine Stew Bruce BBQ DINER 2 Nothing like a fresh home made stew Cut to Jim sitting away from the table, his hands covering his face while he cries. 2. Home. Daytime (montage) This scene shows a montage of Jims everyday life. The first shot shows Jim taking out the rubbish. Cut to The second shot has Jim watching Bugs Bunny. Cut to

The third has Jim serving the internet looking at different facts about rabbits. Cut to The fourth has Jim brushing his teeth. Cut to The fifth and final one has Jim walking to college while eating a carrot. 3.INT. Jims mind. Unknown It is a dark night and JIM is asleep in bed JIM shuffles uncomfortably in his sleep Cut to Jim is wondering a dark room. There is a light flickering on and off. Jim walks around a corner and sees a silhouette of a monster. Jim then realises that shadow is coming from an innocent rabbit. Jim smile with relief. That smile doesnt last long as it turns into a face of terror. The rabbit slowly transforms into a monster and the room fills with red resembling hell. 4.INT. BEDROOM. LATE AFTERNOON JIM wakes up from his nightmare. His eyes a filled with terror. He turns his head and notice the computer monitor is on JIM is in his room sitting by his computer. JIMs P.O.V A strange rabbit in the shape of a human appears on the monitor and waves at Jim Jim is hypnotised as the rabbit man waves out the screen at him. Jim replies with a smile. 5.INT. COLLEGE CLASSROOM. MID AFTERNOON

Fades in to Jim sitting in front of his desk and resting his head with his hand while his elbow on the table in a bored manner. He looks up at his watch and yawns. Suddenly he is alerted by the sound of the classroom door opening. Mr BURNS (teacher moving into shot) (sighing) So Jim, care to explain about how you managed to get from having the lowest grade in the class to being the highest? Jim looks up and shrugs his shoulders. BURNS

Look JIM, Im not mad at you I just want to know if youve been getting help from anyone. So are you going to tell me or am I going to have to ring home again? JIM (evasively) It was Harvey BURNS Whos Harvey? JIM Harvey is my friend. I met him on my computer. BURNS You met him online through a chat site? (Jim shakes his head) JIM

He appeared on my monitor. BURNS Maybe I should go talk to JIM. Do you have his number? JIM You dont need to. He is here with us now. (Burns looks around the classroom) BURNS Theres no one here JIM Sure he is. Hes standing right next to you.

Mr Burns begins to look agitated. He marches over to the phone on the desk. BURNS Thats it Im ringing your parents. (Burns points his finger at the classroom door) BURNS (snaps) Get out! Ill be seeing you again tomorrow. JIM (pleads) Hes real! Jim storms out the classroom. 6. INT. HOME. DAY TIME Jim enters the front door of the house. He is carrying a shopping bag in his had and a school bag on his back.

Cut to Jim enters the dining room, placing his shopping bag on a table, revealing carrots. JIM Harvey Im home (pause) HARVEY? (pause) Ive got you some carrots. 7.INT. COLLEGE CLASSROOM. LATE AFTERNOON Burns is alone in his class room typing on the computer when suddenly Harvey appears waving from his monitor screen. The teacher stares back as if hypnotised.
