City Pumper Maintenance and Requestfor Information

This firm represents the Town of Darrouzett (Town). As you are aware through the Towns ongoing discussions with you as Fire Chief the Town owns the City Pumper that is stored by the Darrouzett Volunteer Fire Department (Department). The Town is interested in ensuring that the City Pumper is certified for operation. The Town has an ordinance governing the responsibilities and maintenance for the City Pumper, which was adopted on May 7, 1990. The Town will oversee the certification, but requests that the Darrouzett Volunteer Fire Department (Department) moves the City Pumper out of the barn by Tuesday, May 21St at 1 p.m. so that the Town may complete this certification. Please notify the undersigned no later than Monday the 20th at 5 p.m. if another date and time needs to be set. Time is ofthe essencefor this, and the Town desires to move quickly. The Town further requests information regarding the Departments structure. The Town has recently reviewed its records and does not have current information regarding the Departments structure. The Town respectfully requests that the Department provide to either the undersigned or the Melanie Davis, City Manager of the Town: (a) any Bylaws, Operating

Agreements, or similar material governing the Department; (b) any charter, articles of organization or incorporation, or any similar material for the Department; (c) a current roster of volunteer firefighters; (d) a current roster of volunteer firefighters who are designated pump operators for the City Pumper; and (e) any other information you feel would help the Town understand the current structure of the Department.
