Re: City Pumper Material, Third Request for Information and Proposed Agreement Dear Mr. Wilmoth: This firm represents the Town of Darrouzett (Town). First, I would like to thank you for returning enumerated items from my May 31st letter to the Town on June 3rd. The Town now realizes that the cylinders necessary for the operation of the SCBA devices were not returned with the SCBA devices. By Wednesday, June 12th at 5 p.m., please provide Seven (7) of the Fourteen (14) Cylinders that were inspected last year and that accompany the SCBA devices to City Manager Melanie Davis at City Hall. Further, the Town submits a third written request for information regarding the Departments structure that were detailed in the last two letters. Please provide the undersigned with any information that would help the Town understand the current Darrouzett Volunteer Fire Department (Department) structure and relationship with the Town. Finally, enclosed is a proposed Agreement between the Town and the Department that we submit to you for your review and potential execution. We have discussed the circumstances with Texas Municipal League; they stated that most municipalities have contractual agreements with their local Volunteer departments that govern the relationship between the entities. The enclosed Agreement is based upon a contract that the Texas Municipal League provided for the Town as an example. We offer this Agreement in spirit of cooperation, and would like to use it

to formalize the relationship between the Town and DVFD. The past six months have highlighted the need for the Town and DVFD to preserve their relationship in writing. Please address the above listed matters and submit your thoughts or executed Agreement to the undersigned no later than Wednesday, June 12, 2013 by 5 p.m. We thank you in advance for your cooperation regarding these matters.
