INTRODUCTION
urpose is stronger than dead. Just
like a man who is holding a life
buoy, would not let it go for him to
be alive. Purpose is the reason for which
something exists. It is essence of life. A
student without purpose is a man racing
without intention, and can just end
anywhere.
The path to success is not always a smooth
curve. It is purpose that keeps us on the
course. When the days are becoming
cloudy, purpose gives us the reasons to
stay. Success is beyond what the eyes can
catch, just like the real things in movie
happen behind scene. Success is a
collection of events. Its an edited event.
And usually clustered in a clause called,
Its a long story.
Consider the race that you have started as
an adventure; then you will see the
obstacles as necessary fun to make the
voyage a memorable one.
The following codes are useful for a
purpose drive student:
Code #1: Prudency
he core content here, is time
prudency. Time is one resource
students dont have, yet everything
on campus demands it. The friends, the
lectures, and the extra-curricular activities,
everything just wants to have a bit of it.
*For Friends, either you want it or not,
they will just come in one way or the
other. But its your duty not to allow them
feast on your time. Therefore you establish
purpose guideline for their existence in
order to safeguard the scarce resources you
have. Dont forget, time stuff, life is made
up of. It is life. Spending your time in an
unprofitable relationship infers wastage of
ones life. *The Lectures are inexcusable
consumers of time. They are what validate
or verify the significance of your days on
campus. And finally for *extra-
curricular, be wise to profitably engage
your time. Appropriate it, for you have
little of it.
Code #2: Honesty
tudy is not the hallmark of
academic excellence, there are
many hidden costs. Honesty is one
of the perquisites to be offered the degree
you seek. It is usually referred as the
Honour Code. You must be found worthy
both in character and in learning.
Learning is not just enough for you to bag
the degree. Eschew pride. The code
strongly emphasizes respect for lecturers.
Many reasons can be attributed to the
failure of a student, may be rudeness in
class, especially displaying knowledge in
such a manner and with an underlying
intent to degrade the personality standing
before him or her. Thats very wrong. And
such a student; may not have a second
chance to make the first impression. It is
quite difficult to change someones
perception. Honesty is the best policy.
In addition, examination malpractice is
against the ethics of academic
performance, a crime against sustainable
intelligence. The ethics and code of the
institution frowns at it, hence any event as
to fall short of this code, shall be subject to
withdrawal from the university. And thats
no news.

Code #3: Diligence
his is a prime code for a purpose
driven student. It entails being
discipline enough to do the right
thing even when it is not convenient. It
makes you despise the pleasures,
embracing the pains, and beholding a
glorious future. Always seeing beyond the
now!
Success is not a peak performance. Its a
process; purpose sets you to be committed
to the task, consistently without excuse.
Dedication plus diligence equals
excellence.
You have few years to spend here, and you
cant afford to spend them in untold
misery after now.

CONCLUSION
ays are many; seasons are few,
yet most celebrated. Today is a
desire, tomorrow is a testimony.
Never hope to regret today. Many were
refuted admission for your sake. You
survive not because you were most
intelligent; your survival was a test of
chance. You are still on probation.
Endeavour to ensure that you get the
Mastery. At least a smiling degree, its
possible. A second is not subtracted from
the days you were admitted. Your time is
already counting.
In addition, you need a helping hand, look
up to Jesus, the author and the finisher of
our faith. He is able to help. Even the
sparrows feeds, how much more you.
Success is your destination. You cant
afford to fall short. You are the best dont
settle for the second. But still, desires are
not enough, good intentions are powerless,
you have to take actions, and its now. Do it
now! Thank You.
Until I see again, keep succeeding in this
great academic island, wishing you Happy
Matriculation unto Convocation.
