We screen for up to 12 different benefits and tax credits for participants and
then provide you with contact and application information. The coach can
also give the participant access to community resources such as rental and
utility assistance, or agencies that provide emergency food, housing, etc.

The YWCA Financial
coach is able to offer the
participant access to free
financial education classes
conducted by banks,
community partners,
online, or by YWCA
Certified Personal
Financial Coaches. These
classes go into depth on
many of the topics covered
in one-on-one coaching
The YWCA offers a matched savings
incentive to encourage participants to start
or continue saving. The first $50 placed in
a savings account after the start of coaching
is matched by the YWCA with a $25 direct
deposit into your account after your 3
rd

To encourage asset building the YWCA offers an IDA program that will match
participant savings dollars for:
Post Secondary Education
(4 to 1 dollar match)
Starting or enhancing a small
business (2 to 1 dollar match)
Cost associated with the purchase of your 1
st
home (4 to 1 dollar match)
Application process and you must attend (4) coaching sessions and (1)
financial education class
Possible $4000 total contribution from YWCA
